Enormously better than a lot of recent episodes, managing to take three story lines that have been excruciating to watch lately and make two of them enjoyable and the other one bearable.Hugo continues to talk Rachel into breaking the law a bit too easily(even if she does eventually do the sensible thing)and Tony seems quite happy to join in but his final decision to join Hugo in his Action Man caper is perfectly understandable and even creditable.Aside from some odd continuity when Angelo and Charlie seem to forget they've already talked to Rachel about Hugo being alive, the really strange thing is that no-one seems particularly bothered that half Hugo's family has gone missing around the time the entire underworld is supposed to be after him.
Elsewhere, Charlie and Angelo's relationship is written a bit better than it was the previous week as we again get some light and fun scenes rather than overwritten angst, whilst still getting the feeling that Charlie isn't entirely certain how relationships are supposed to work. Although Angelo's reaction to seeing her in her underwear doesn't make a lot of sense.
Showing a complete lack of concern for their missing loved ones, we have some nice scenes between Alf and Liam and between Nicole and Ruby as Ruby's crush on her tutor becomes ever more apparent, including to Ruby herself. Both receive good advice but unfortunately they don't seem to take it and Liam's reaction suggests that he realises he's asking for trouble now.
