Dr. Grant claims to see a tall, leggy blonde in a slinky red dress, which is a reference to his role as Dr. Gaius Baltar on "Battlestar Galactica" (2004), who has a tumultuous romantic relationship with Number Six, an artificial intelligence who takes the form of a tall, leggy blonde, often seen in a slinky red dress. Incidentally, Erica Cerra (Jo Lupo) would later play A.L.I.E. in "The 100" (2014). A.L.I.E. is an artificial intelligence who only appears to certain characters while wearing a red dress.
After Henry's shop has nearly shaken apart, Carter says, "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" Carter is referencing a well-known question that CBS anchor Dan Rather was asked just before being attacked in the early 1990s. It was also the title of a subsequent R.E.M. song from the album "Monster."
At the very end of this episode, when Trevor Grant visits the Consortium's facility, you can glimpse the "Windows XP display error" box on top of the user interface on the screen behind the doctor.
Right after the credits run the following exchange happens:
Jack- "your dead..... undead"
Nathan sits up and looks in a mirror - "nope not a vampire"
