I was immediately drawn into 'Scotch Neat' by it's cinematography as it creates an atmosphere of mystery. This atmosphere of mystery is built upon with the introduction of the three characters. An air of suspicion and curiosity, as the three characters begin to interact, drew me in further. While there were subtleties that could suggest a connection between the three characters, like one character blowing cigarette smoke into another's face, there was nothing solid beyond the current moment that they found themselves at the bar that connected them. This was an element that greatly added to the mystery and intrigue of the short. The subtle and seemingly disconnected characters was balanced greatly by the strong interactions that these three characters had. The combination of these two elements left me somewhat disturbed, but yet there was something serene about it. Very interesting to watch.
