A Tool For Every Job
This World War Two Training Film starts off with a picture of a guy throwing a ping-pong ball down a bowling alley, and asking what the different weapons an infantryman does are. My reaction was "they all make holes in the enemy", and that was disproven soon enough: smoke grenades.
The rest of this movie was spent showing the various weapons the infantry used, from handguns to howitzers, and how they used them. Yes, they mostly made hole in the enemy, but different jobs call for different tools, and this showed how the various tools of war are effective at different jobs. All this, combined with a tough, contemptuous narration.
