• Sgt. Gregory Parker : [Parker and Spike enter command truck-Spike obviously upset]  Chopper'll be here any minute.

  Sgt. Gregory Parker : Okay officer, it's time to return the favor, lets get on with that chopper. Lets figure out where he is.

  Mike Scarlatti : Alright, copy that boss.

• Sgt. Gregory Parker : You should take some time.

  Mike Scarlatti : He was a good cop.

  Sgt. Gregory Parker : Yes, that's why when he saw a young man facing execution he did something about it. You know why he was able to do something like that? Because he knew you had his back. He knew you'd be there for his daughter. You know what else that guy did?

  Mike Scarlatti : What?

  Sgt. Gregory Parker : He taught you everything you know about being a good cop. And you're one of the best I've ever known.

• Mike Scarlatti : [on phone]  All right, Mac, sit tight. Promise we'll have you out of there in no time.

  Officer Oliver MacCoy : And no promises. I taught you better than that.

  Mike Scarlatti : Yes, sir.

  Mike Scarlatti : Rookie lesson - make no promises. Cops are human. We only do what we can.

  Sgt. Gregory Parker : He's right.
