First, it represents a seductive surprise. Because it is more than a good western but a lovely portrait of the manner to use old themes in great way. Second, the language is special because the polite English is not the basic tools of westerns. Not less, the magic aura gives to the film a special force of seduction. A deserter and his girl friend. An officer hunting him. And the delicate balance between life and death. A good film, eerie atmosphere and the perfect end.
