It is an animated film that narrates the events of Mexican independence; the plot is decent, the animation is passable, and the songs are good; it is recommended.

A Disney-esque animated movie from Mexico

An historical Mexican animated musical movie, heavily inspired by Disney, both aesthetically and plot-wise; done in a time when Disney itself had stopped making movies like this.
A decent effort, despite the uneven animation.
The voice acting was its strongest aspect, as it had many dub veterans in the cast, some whom I never heard singing before.
The little speech at the end was a bit corny, but overall, it was an okay movie for kids. And definately much better than stuff like "Bolívar, el Héroe".
