Charles Prince is married to Mistinguett, but she's too busy being a doctor to tend to her wifely duties, so he seeks entertainment elsewhere in this short from Pathe Freres.
Mistinguett was, of course, the famous music hall performer, famous for her Apache dance in her day and remembered for being Maurice Chevalier's route to stardom. Charles Prince himself was also a famous stage performer, and appeared in almost 300 short films through 1931. This is an early one and typically for the era, very primitive to the modern eye. Between that and his dumping of Princess Diana, he has fallen into obscurity.
