While Bill has trouble acting the opposite of his usual self for Opposite Day, Bill's sunny personality is able to change grouchy characters into nicer, happier people. Constantly-aggravated Hy Gene the Hygiene Genie and his newest assistant Tooth join Bill to relax, eat popcorn for breakfast, and watch cartoons, wearing Bill-style baseball caps (Hy Gene even wears a zip-up hoodie). When Bill shows his vintage Mego "Star Trek" action figure to the Grim Reaper, they bond over a love for vintage toys and the Grim Reaper softens from being the "Lord of Death" to becoming the Grin Reaper - "Collector of Smiles" (wearing a toothy grin, a smiley face button, and, yes, a Bill-style baseball cap). When Toony brings critics Shaddup & Showacartoon onto the show, Bill switches places with them, giving the haters an opportunity to host from the studio, which opens their eyes to the difficulty of the job.
All five featured cartoons had appeared in previous episodes of the show: Hare Brush (1955) was in Hello My BB (2021); Hyde and Go Tweet (1960) was in both Sventoonie (2021) and Friday the 13th (2021); Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse (1947) was in Foolin' Exchange (2021); Put-Put, Pink (1968) was in Craftwerk #2 (2021); and Ventriloquist Cat (1950) was in What's Up, Jock? (2021).
Recurring guest characters include Hy Gene ("Hygiene Genie"), his new assistant Tooth ("A Molar"), Grim Reaper ("Lord of Death"), and Shaddup & Showacartoon ("Important TV Critics").
