Good up until the end
emala10129 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
The plot was cute and believable up until the end. Basically, this movie was focused on the constant tension between the twins, AKA Cody's constant know-it-all attitude and Zack's slacker, let's-disrupt-everything personality. In this movie, it comes to a boil when Zack kills Cody's summer internship opportunity and Cody declares "We may be twins, but we aren't brothers". Zack finds a new internship, though: Once focused on the relationship between twins. At this internship, they eat this "magic fruit" that allows them to feel what the other is feeling, mentally and physically, which inevitably fixes their relationship.

Of course.

This is where things get weird: The scientist running the entire thing has a master plan of making a set of twins have one mind, and then making each set of twins able to be controlled by one mind. It ends up with the Sprouse twins randomly being able to read each others minds, the other twins coming after them, zombie-like, while chanting "Get Zack and Cody", and then them being strapped to these tables that supposedly causes their minds to merge into one.

While this is happening, the other kids from the ship and the scientist who controlled Cody's original internship somehow manage to sneak into the lab without any of the zombie twins stopping them, and we find out that the evil scientist and the other internship scientist are twins! And the mad scientist had these weird skin masks that allowed him to change his face at will! Before we find this out, though, the machine is turned out and Zack and Cody's "souls" come out of them and have an epic floating fight about who's brain should be dominant. Supposedly, their fighting breaks the machine and the scientists figure out their problems and Bailey lassos the mad scientist and Mr. Mosbey shows up just in time with the police to save everyone.

And they live happily ever after, the end.

One thing I have to give the Sprouse twins is that they did a good job with the ridiculous plot they were given. Even with the stupid lines and odd antics and just overall weirdness, their characters were believable. Cringe-worth, but believable.

6/10, for the good beginning and good acting.

Could've been worse.

As a fan of the show, I watched this movie. Despite how cheap it is, its actually pretty creative. With a higher budget and better direction, this movie could've been better. I was entertained when I watched, but I do remember finding that some scenes could've been a bit polished. Its not as bad as some other movies based on TV shows, but it could've been better.

The Overachieving Cody And The Underachieving Zack
bkoganbing1 April 2011
Once the Sprouse twins are free from their Magic Kingdom contracts that might consider doing an adaption of The Corsican Brothers. Although I certainly would have a problem in seeing these two All American kids as swashbuckling 18th century Corsicans.

After two successful television series for Disney, the Sprouse Twins are getting ready to end it soon when they graduate from their floating high school. They got their television film from Disney, The Suite Life Movie where all the characters from The Suite Life On Deck make their appearances in support.

Without going into detail the Zack And Cody Martin get hoodwinked into a mad scientist's experiment on twins. Of course having the mad scientist who also has a twin played by John Ducey who was most recently the father of the Jonas Brothers in that Magic Kingdom TV Series was a bit much, but then again we're not supposed to take all this seriously.

Mad scientist Ducey is experimenting with twins with the idea of having them do more than look alike. If you remember the Corsican Brothers the Franchi twins were Siamese and while they did get separated almost at birth, they did share certain experiences even though they were brought up a few hundred miles away.

But the overachieving Cody and the underachieving Zack are now having experiences like the Franchis and it takes the whole cast of the regular TV series to rescue them. The film is all right, not to be taken too seriously, and should please Sprouse fans everywhere.

A Much Better Film Than Expected, and Well Made.
kobebusia21 August 2011
Just when I thought Dylan and Cole Sprouse would never do a DCOM, they finally did, and I thought it was really cool. The story was well structured, Dylan and Cole's acting was much more professional than in the show, plus it was also very interesting to have Zack and Cody portrayed in a more serious light. This movie definitely had some surprises, considering that it was from the director of the Even Stevens Movie, but it's true that they could've focused on other characters besides Zack and Cody. As usual, Phill Lewis did great as Moseby, and Brenda Song does a great job as well. The movie was also a good opportunity for the filmmakers to mend and sort of add new development to Zack and Cody's brotherly relationship, and as a result, they learned to understand each other better. Overall great film, I give it a 9/10.

Boo this movie sucks...

I love The Suite Life With Zack And Cody and On Deck, but this movie was a failure in my opinion. The story was weak, the writing was sloppy, and I didn't laugh once in the entire film. It doesn't even feel like a movie based on the show, it feels like it would belong in another movie that isn't The Suite Life shows. Don't watch this movie, it's not worth watching.

Silly but decent

Warning: Spoilers
The Suite Life Movie is based on the popular TV show of the same name and stars Cole and Dylan Sprose. The gang are on vacation where Cody meets a Dr named Dr Spandeling who comes up with the gemini project based on twins. But is Dr Spandeling all he seems to be? Could he be his evil twin in disguise.

If you love the TV show then check it out.

Keep an eye out for Matthew Glave who plays the evil twin in this film. You may recognise him as Drew Barrymore's sleazy fiance Glenn in The Wedding Singer.

it could have worked as a tv episode
JoeyLeblanc8514 June 2021
Is 'the suite life movie' but a lot of the characters of the original show and the on deck spin-off are missing: maddie, esteban, marcus, carey, arwin, miss tutweiller, and many other ones. The plot is... okay, i guess, but it doesn't work because the comedy doesn't work, (why so serious?) and because we don't get to see a lot of the characters being faithful for themselves in order for this movie works (and it doesn't) they are given this crazy storylines that comes around every 2 or 3 episodes per season, and it works as a contrast of the rest of series, but not as a whole movie. The supporting cast didn't matter to the story either and that's just sad, Brenda Song, Phill Lewis and Debby Ryan totally totally are in the movie but their characters are wasted as their b-plot is just nonsensical. If it was a suite life on deck special it would've made more sense (god knows they could've used more screen time) and in the end it feels just like it, an okay suite life on deck episode without laugh track. It doesn't seem like a suite life movie at all.

Boring...
RosanaBotafogo16 April 2023
Zack and Cody are given the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Gemini Project, a research center that studies the dynamism between twins. When they realize it, they realize they are connected in a way never seen before: when one feels any sensation, or thinks about something, the other will go through the same. While this newfound power helps the boys discover themselves, it also puts them in great danger.

Boring movie, what an unbearable brother, with a brother like that you don't even need an enemy, wow, that doesn't even sound fun, and the caricatured friends, the chubby glutton, the dumb blonde and the oriental madam, all very unpleasant, with irresponsible young people, who the gentle ones are stupid, Eww, the film advances along a nebulous path of science fiction that unification of the twins (?!?!) not profitable, maybe for the young people of the time and for those who enjoyed the series, just... Boring...

"The Suite Life Movie" is a Disney Channel Original Movie that serves as a conclusion to the popular "Suite Life" franchise. The film follows Zack and Cody (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) as they embark on a new adventure, traveling to a remote island to participate in a scientific research project.

One of the strengths of the movie is its cast. Dylan and Cole Sprouse once again deliver strong performances as Zack and Cody, showcasing their characters' growth and maturity since the end of the television series. The supporting cast, including Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, and Matthew Timmons, also return and deliver solid performances.

It's a decent film
matitya-3393715 February 2023
I know that some people dislike the science fiction direction this movie took the franchise in and I do understand that complaint. Though for the record Suite Life was never purely slice of life. There was an episode of Zack and Cody wherein Arwin's machine created a portal to a parallel universe and it's then implied to have been a dream only for the ending to reveal that it was real (admittedly as a joke.) And an episode devoted to Arwin creating a robot version of himself named Arwinstein. Another one where London actually got Bigfoot on Yay Me starring London Tipton and interviewed him about his book. While the episode about a shooting star turning Zack and Cody into superheroes was revealed as a dream, Raven Baxter and her premonitions were treated as entirely real.

Even Suite Life on Deck included Bailey being possessed by a ghost, Galapagos Gurdy being real and a smoothie bringing a plant to life and turning it to a monster. (And possibly a magic genie lamp. Not to mention an alternate universe created by a birthday wish.

I know it was generally more slice of life than that and I don't blame people who wished the movie were as well but I'm completely fine with it.

Without getting into spoilers, I like how Dr. Olsen and Dr. Spaulding are used as a foil for Zack and Cody. I think the mad scientist was a well-done villain. I liked the attention it paid to Cody and Bailey's relationship. While the humour in the early parts of the movie was hit or miss (the actors were clearly unaccustomed to performing without a laugh track) it gets significantly better since then. And while the dolphins backstory for the phlebotinum could hardly have been more contrived, the comedy it provided with London was quite entertaining.

I do think that Mr. Moseby, Woody and to a lesser extent London were severely underused characters within this movie but that flaw isn't enough to ruin the movie for me. Not even close.

It's a decent film.

One of the best movies I watched
lamjellyjulia30 March 2011
The movie was better than I expected. I would like the movie to surround more of the boat instead of something that had nothing to do with the show. Dylan and Cole's acting was probably the best, in the movie there was a lot of suspense and action. Even though the beginning was slow, there was a great, big finish. The plot was a bit unrealistic but pulled me right in the movie. The few things I didn't like about it is that the camera was shot at weird angles and there was too much music being played in the background. There was great comedy and acting. I loved the whole movie and thought it was one of the best Disney movies I seen. Any Sprouse fan would love this movie.
