IMDb premiered its very first music video this morning as Band of Horses' "Dilly" made its way onto the movie data site. The clips was shot by video director and cinematographer Philip Andelman, who took a cue from biker films of the '70s, threw in a little dance, some imaginary-real guns, some spaghetti and rode off into the sunset. “This is the first of our videos to truly capture the essence of what a day in our personal lives is actually like,” said Band of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell in a release. Last week here at Twitch we ran a trailer for Dilly, a piece which claimed to be the teaser for a long lost biker flick from the grindhouse era. It wasn't - and we knew it when posting it - but it was such a spot on recreation that we just couldn't help but play along. What is Dilly really? It's a music video for a new track by Band of Horses as directed by Philip Andelman.
The complete video has just gone online over at the IMDb and it's pretty spectacular stuff, assuming that you consider psychic powered dance fighting spectacular. Which I do.
