Some of the people involved with this 17-minute . . .

. . . 30-second 2022 DVD bonus feature include executive producers Jane C-a-m-p-i-o-n and Tanya S-e-g-h-a-t-c-h-i-a-n. Jane Anderson is noted as the "post supervisor." Paul Leah served as the "colorist"--corrected spelling--and N-i-c-h Cunningham did the sound mix. Music is taken from J-o-n-n-y Greenwood's POWER OF THE DOG feature film score and Tristan Simpson did something "on-line." Though C-a-m-p-i-o-n provides all of the voice-over commentary, there are behind-the-scenes costume fitting, take blocking and wrap party shots of cast members Benedict C-u-m-b-e-r-b-a-t-c-h (Phil Burbank), Jesse P-l-e-m-o-n-s (George Burbank), Kirsten D-u-n-s-t (Rose Gordon), K-o-d-i S-m-i-t M-c-P-h-e-e (Peter Gordon) and G-e-n-e-v-i-e-v-e L-e-m-o-n (Mrs. Lewis the Burbank housekeeper).

Apparently there's a possibly infinite . . .

. . . batch of documentary shorts on THE POWER OF THE DOG home entertainment version released in 2022, watched tonight by my viewing circle. I was delegated to comment upon one subtitled THE WOMEN BEHIND THE POWER OF THE DOG, clearly a thankless task that none of the others was willing to undertake. This episode runs about 24 minutes, and includes a lot of repetitiously reciprocated kudos exchanged among a quintet of ladies sprawled across a parlor like something out of the Daily Chew. Some wench named Jane claims that film-making "is not always about the planning or story-boarding, but preparing yourself for the opportunities that appear." This seems terribly haphazard; imagine if Quentin had taken this approach to RESERVOIR DOGS, PULP FICTION, KILL BILL or THE HATEFUL EIGHT.

Confusion reigns rampant, as there seem to be . . .

. . . at least TWO "Bonus Features" on THE POWER OF THE DOG disc with this exact same heading. The subtitle of the documentary brief clocking in at 28:14.06 is RE-FRAMING THE WEST. This piece is illustrated with many exemplary clips from the feature film, including scenes with Phil Burbank (portrayed by Benedict C.), his brother George (Jesse P.), Rose Gordon (Kirsten D.) and her son Peter (Cody S. Spelled differently). Appearing as themselves are director Jane C., four other producers besides Jane, the cinematographer, sound editor, costume designer, make-up designer and film editor. Notably absent is the armorer, perhaps because they failed to hire one or to include any working firearms in this alleged "Western."
