Plot Summary

In Havre, Léa, a diligent college student, to make ends meet, she works as a waitress in a nightclub downtown, while taking care of her fragile grandmother who suffers from the Alzheimer's disease. But soon, a long-awaited admittance to the prestigious Sciences Po, or the Paris Institute of Political Studies, will change her life; however, the future comes at a high cost. As a result, a reluctant but penniless Léa will settle in Paris to become a stripper, who, during the day, struggles for a better life, while at nights, she finally puts herself in control over her life, with her beautiful body as her weapon. Did You Know?

Edit
Trivia Anne Azoulay talked about the striptease scene: "The scene at the barre, the first scene in the film, was the most difficult for me because I'm not a dancer, and even if I was prepared for it, being alone on the dance floor with all these men watching, it was very difficult. So it was real stage fright. A real fear. But I knew that Bruno Rolland was going to film well and that I wasn't facing a voyeur artist, so there was no worry on that side. " See more »
Quotes Strip-teaseuse Le Havre 2: Don't forget, open the dress from the back or you'll get in a mess. Undo the Velcro in one quick "rip" and pull it open. It works every time. Don't worry. And most important is once you're naked, there's not much more to do, you just dance, OK?
