A chemist invents an injection that can turn a taxidermy cat into a live one. His poor assistant takes advantage of his elation to ask for his boss's daughter's hand in marriage, but it's no go. So he and his artist pal disguise him as an Egyptian mummy as a subject for revivification.
There's a certain lack of logic in the situation: here's an ancient Egyptian who, restored to life, speaks French and is apparently a Catholic. Of course the movie-goers of the era were expected to ignore that for the sake of this comedy. Like many short comedies of the era, it works out as little more than a practical joke, but it does have a happy ending.
