SAVAGE TEMPTATION was released as the third of the random AMERICAN COMMANDO series, a row of cut-and-paste action flicks made in a Hong Kong studio by the one and only Godfrey Ho. Of course, he's hiding under a pseudonym here. The bulk of the drama comes from an unknown Taiwanese drama in which a young woman and her little brother are thrown into a dark world involving organised crime, the drug trade, and prostitution. There's a lot of badly-dubbed drama in this one but no action at all; that's supplied in the added-on scenes in which wooden Pierre Kirby fights gangsters. So you have a mix of high melodrama and cheesy action, and none of it gels at all; that's perhaps the charm.

80s B-movie awesomeness

This film is awesome.
If you have 80s nostalgia, if you like Pierre Kirby, if you haven't yet heard of Pierre Kirby, or if you just want to see something awesome, you have to watch this.
Mind you, this is a Godfrey Ho production, which means that the awesome Pierre Kirby scenes are spliced together with scenes from an entirely different film. But this provides for some really bizarre humour. So you can't lose with this film.
Some B-movies have that spark that makes them awesome. 'Savage Temptation' is one of them. For me personally the appeal lies mainly in the fact that Pierre Kirby is in it and that it reeks of 80s nostalgia.
