If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Warning: Spoilers
If you think the show is "woke"( a word that has been captured, misused, and weaponized by the right) don't watch it. I don't care much about the political left or right but people always leave their mad comments and low rating once it has to do with something consider leftist, woke, or P. C. What's wrong about putting real issues in a T. V show?

I'm not always in support of episodes like these because sometimes it makes a mockery of what real people go through in real life.

If you watched a Cop show would you give an episode because the cops complain about low wages or poor benefits?

NCIS: Los Angeles has always been political. It's a show about the U. S. Navy that operates worldwide. If you don't like black politics, well good for you. Talking about Russia, China, Iran, etc is politics. You don't want social justice that is in your backyard but geopolitics about China and Russia specifically is quite fine.

Bland and boring

Warning: Spoilers
Again in this world when you do a law enforcement show you deal with political and social issues. Even in previous seasons NCIS shows dealt with them. Even JAG showed social issues in the milatry world. Only issue is how you write it. In previous seasons NCIS LA showed them in subtle way not forcing the viewers to listen to lectures, the writers made want to listen and think. This time I was waiting for the episode to end. It felt forced especially when the characters asked us why this is still happening, it felt they didn't had real conversations between characters it felt they were talking to the viewers and that that didn't feel right. The last scene between Sam and roundtree was over the top.

The second plot wasn't that great either, I get it was just filter but you could guess the plot before the characters understood it . And I didn't like Deeks talking dirty with kensi in a crime scene where a women was murdered. Not funny just gross, they can't write humour as well? Deeks was the funny guy..

More of the Same

I tuned in for entertainment and found CNN. I assume that all of this season's episodes have already been filmed so there is no immediate help on the horizon, so I will give them this season and hope for better things next season.

Warning: Spoilers
Right off the back. Officer asked for his license, registration and insurance. When black guy goes to get, cop tells him to stop reaching.

This would never happen. Why ask him for something and then pull gun on him.

Dumb episode.

Side story needed to be told
kellerwilliam0211 April 2022
The show is great! The Roundtree side story needed to be told. It's still happening in real life. Until it stops keep telling it. It's not ANTI-wokeness, it's not that at all. It needed to be told.

Perception

Warning: Spoilers
It is important for shows to have episodes like this and focus on this issue just because it is timely. I do not want to take sides politically, we know what side of this ripped from the headlines issue NCIS: Los Angeles has taken, but I am fine if it is entertaining. This did not seem entertaining at all though and felt completely forced to be frank.

I kept wondering to myself while watching this wondering why now was the time to have this. We had this character on the show for quite some time now and it just seemed so random to pull this kind of episode out of the closet for seemingly no reason with no payoff.

Ignore the white supremacists.
mjackiw-165-31389619 April 2022
They've come out of the woodwork because this episode has a common, horrible incident in it that all too many people of color go through. They think it's all "fake news" and can't accept the truth. It was done well in the episode and the primary story was excellent. Keep going guys!

IT'S OFFICIAL!!
JosephFabeetz11 April 2022
NCIS LA is now unwatchable. Apart from insipid social commentary, the plot (insider stealing Navy equipment) has been done100 times. Deeks and Kenzie are insufferable. Let's have them move to Montana. The finale (perp grabbing a hostage) talked down by our hero is featured by every procedural every week. I get it ... after 12 seasons writers run out of ideas. Wrap this up. [BTW: LAPD should ban any further cooperation with producers of this show. Portrayal of LAPD cops was beyond insulting.]

A much-needed wake-up call for those who take too much pride in being un-awoke.
Carycomic11 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Even I was disgusted by the boneheaded-ness of the LAPD in this episode.

First, there was the contradictory orders by the bald senior partner: "License, registration, and insurance..." followed by "Stop reaching."

I felt like saying: "Make up your mind, Baldy!"

Then, there was the asinine junior partner with the itchy pepper-spray finger. I felt like shouting: "Hello! What harm can he do you with his hands cuffed behind him? Render you permanently infertile with one kick?!"

Then, there was that unbelievably lame attempt by the female detective lieutenant to empathize with Rountree's justifiably righteous indignation after first telling him he should have had his Federal agent's badge with him: "I've been a woman on the police force for ten years. I have my own list of "I-should-be-able-to's..."

Rountree should have replied: "How often do you drive around, on your days' off, with your badge in your pocket? And how many times, during those ten years, have you been pulled over by uniformed cops looking for a white female burglary suspect?"

Nope! Rountree and Sam had every right to be p.o.'d.

As for the subplot involving the murdered photographer? I knew it was the yuppie civilian assistant right from the start. Hence, only nine stars.

That was strike 2
PardonTheTruth11 April 2022
When will the pea brains who run this show get it through their heads that viewers don't want to be "educated" by their half-baked wokey claptrap. Will NCIS LA join the ranks of unwatchable drivel like the new Law & Order, which is circling the drain at an alarming pace?

Stop ignoring unpleasant truths
hollybeat13 April 2024
People who keep crying about not wanting to see these type of episodes amaze me. They all want to ignore it like it doesn't happen..and they are blind. These type of incidents do happen and ignoring them because it forces you to confront an unpleasant truth or feelings you harbor but do not want to he reminded of makes you part of the problem or at the least willfully ignorant...and that IS the issue..saying these type of cops are not out there is laughable. It should make everyone uncomfortable but instead peiple live in denial..it's happened to me, twice..and Im white so at no time was I fearful for my life..so imagine how that would feel and stop being so ignorant..and as another review stated..if you don't like it don't watchbit.

Hard to get through this one.
jimbokwright12 April 2022
This once fun show has had its ups and downs over the years but tonight's had to be an all time low. Written and directed with all the depth of a ninth grade school project. The actors didn't have anything original to work with and phoned it in as well.

The WOKE agenda is strong in this episode
evantramazzanti11 April 2022
Do we really need this "lesson" about "racism"?

Does the LAPD really need to take all the crap thrown at them?

The plot of this episode is non-existent at best.

The writer have gone out of ideas, that's for sure.

Too bad I can't give negative stars...

Everything MUST be believable!
CrimeDrama118 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was so close to deleting this episode from my DVR after the officer blatantly ignored Rountree's claim that he is a federal agent. Unless a racist officer didn't care about risking his job, being charged with assault or worse (hate crime) - and/or being sued in civil court, they never would have ignored the agents claim. It would be very easy to verify. HE HAS TO KNOW that assaulting a federal officer equals prison time. Not buying this for one second. This is not a "ripped from the headlines" scene but it's not the first time I've seen an African American law enforcement officer mistreated during a traffic stop on a TV crime drama. It was bad enough that Rountree had both hands on the steering wheel and the officer flipped out AFTER asking him for his ID and documents because Rountree reached with his right hand. You need at least one hand to get those things! These two things are not believable, a cardinal sin in crime drama writing. Too many times writers think it is OK to sacrifice believability for more conflict and drama. Viewers want believability before everything else!!!

Exhausting!
TournelHenry25 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
For goodness sake, can the industry stop milking the already exhausted racism card? And if you're going to do so, at least act it out well. Not some poorly over-dramatised unrealistic scene with a police officer.

Done
briannj-8417915 April 2022
This show was super ridiculous to begin with. I watched it to kill time. This episode starts with one of the most obvious race bait I've seen on TV. If you haven't seen it, then stop here. If you have watched it, no traffic stop in the history of policing has ever gone that way. It's like the writers want to fuel hate. I turned it off just like NCIS New Orleans when they tried to bend the knee to SJW"s. I'm not even going to try and watch this show again. Go woke, get broke.

Sadly Disappointing
jdgtc124 April 2022
I'm really disappointed that this episode was intentionally written to be divisive and push an anti cop agenda. The bias is clear, and the show was openly hostile to all who wear a police uniform.

The show runners, writers and actors, continues to alienate their core audience. Time to end this, like NCIS NOLA. This show is circling the drain.

Going the way of NCIS New Orleans
azblkhawkgunner21 April 2022
Ruining a perfectly watchable show...quit being so damn woke and just make the show that it used to be. I was glad New Orleans got canceled because the last season had become so woke it made me puke. This show is headed that same direction and may be becoming even worse. I'm surprised the entire cast just didn't take a knee, say I can't breathe and raise their hands and say no Justice, no Peace because that's how bad it was.

Just stop!!

WOKE AGENDA
Seriously what's going on with the last season too much woke agenda being pushed it's so bad, honestly it's pathetic we don't care about politics being pushed in media and certainly seeing this nonsense in movies and shows isn't going to convince most people, we know the real world has many problems yes but people try to escape from the reality of it using entertainment.

Tired of the Wokeness!
drbayside11 June 2022
As usual one sided, why is there NEVER an episode showing discrimination against people who aren't of color, men, or any other race or religion. The "woke" writers make it seems like only people of color and certain heritages are discriminated against.

Busted
steveclem-4377825 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
If you have ever watched MythBuster you would know the mystery of the obvious racial profiling is busted. It is easy, Roundtree had the windows rolled up on the Land Rover and they are also tinted. From the direction and distance, the police were following him there is no way they could have seen who was in the car until they approached the car on foot. Sam said they had no description of the suspect so answer me why pull this car over? If you can't see who's in the car and you have no description of who you're looking for the only plausible reason left is you ran the tags on the car. Remember Fatima said he had his UC tags which stand for undercover tags. If Roundtree is undercover without his badge and his proper credentials the odds are he had credentials and tags registered to a criminal persona because he was on a mission. Callen and Sam go undercover all the time as criminals so there is no reason to think that Roundtree wasn't doing the same thing. Therefore, the police would have a reason to pull him under that circumstance. Myth busted and the rest of the righteous indignation isn't needed. As far as the pepper spray goes, if you are detained by the police you know not to make sudden movements. They see this aggression as a safety issue and respond in kind. That is on you not them. Stay put and avoid confrontation. The whole plot seemed gratuitous to me.

Laughing out Loud
MyEinsamkeit22 April 2023
Seriously.

Trying to make the Los Angeles Police Department look bad?

Hahaha ok, nice try, but try harder.

Why are the writers bringing this nonsense into NCIS Los Angeles, what is the point. You're ruining your show. I can't stand roundtree anyway, he doesn't fit in, getting sick of Kenzie and Deeks boring tiresome relationship or marriage. In the early seasons, they looked like a real couple, acted like one as well. Enough of the soap drama.

Anyways, the cop scene was stupid so its really no point to even talked about it, again there was no reason to even show up, but seem like they want to forced this stuff on everyone.

The only positive thing about this entire episode was: Karina Logue LAPD Detective Ellen Whiting. I like her in the show, and she is extremely, extremely beautiful, gotta crush on her haha. Its hard to watch season 13 and season 12. Seems like the series ended at Season 11.
