Punk veterans Rancid have dropped “Devil in Disguise,” the latest single from their forthcoming album, Tomorrow Never Comes, out June 2nd via Epitaph.
The new song, which follows the album’s title track released last month, features galloping drums and a sing-along chorus in which Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen team up for the refrain: “Beware who’s around you hiding in plain sight / Beware who’s around you in the broad daylight.” And in typical Rancid style, the track clocks in at bite-sized punk duration of two minutes.
Tomorrow Never Comes marks the band’s first album in six years, following 2017’s Trouble Maker. The new LP was once again produced by Epitaph Records owner and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz.
Prior to the LP drop next Friday, Rancid are set to headline the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas this Sunday (May 28th).

You can hide all manner of cinematic sins with fast edits, filters, and an obnoxious soundtrack that just won’t quit, like maybe how you just made yet another garbage horror flick destined for dollar bin glory. Jason Daly employed all these tricks with his film Beware, a poorly acted piece of schlock that takes its sweet time going nowhere fast. It’s a rare occurrence when someone complains that a horror film has too much plot, but Daly’s little flick gives horribly inept actors far too much time to show the audience just how bad they are at their job. And so, the audience has to sit there and watch as lines are butchered by characters that can barely stand up on their own. Nothing distinguishes Beware from every other poorly crafted horror film you’ve ever seen, save for the fact that it has absolutely no scares...

The 2nd annual PollyGrind assaults Las Vegas during an epic length film festival that runs Oct. 8-17 at Theatre 7 with enough sleaze and violence to make Sin City residents feel right at home.
Actually, the fest does open up on the 7th with a concert at Neon Venus with local acts like Monster Zero, Creepersin and many more.
However, the film portion of the fest opens on the 8th with Stuart Simpson‘s acclaimed Australian gorefest El Monstro Del Mar!, one of the best Russ Meyer/Roger Corman mash-ups with a Down Under twist. Read the Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film review of this gem here.
Other Bad Lit favorites in the lineup are Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s The Taint, which is still completely grossing out audiences on the festival circuit, and The Uh-Oh Show, the splatter-filled horror comedy by the Godfather of Gore himself Herschell Gordon Lewis.

Maya Entertainment will be distributing Jason Daly's (Sigma Die!) Beware on DVD October 18th. This is a backwoods slasher, where a tortured young boy returns to life with an agenda. That agenda is to kill those who trespass in his barren neck of the woods. Maya Entertainment has just released the DVD artwork for this title (left), which shows one female character chained and bloodied. The tagline for this feature is "you've been warned," but is this film original?
The second trailer for the feature, which is hosted below, shows the killer, Shane, for the first time and a curious Sheriff. However, the film seems to be following some of the formulas of the cabin-in-the-woods style of filmmaking, based on the promotional material available. In this genre youths enter an isolated locale like Rob Schmidt's Wrong Turn (2003). Here, they drink and party e.g. House of Wax, before...
