I finally got a chance to watch this short film, and I must say that it was not worth my time spent... time spent that I will never get back in life. Amy Linsamouth did not know what direction she wanted to go with this garbage. NO SPOILERS BELOW!

First of all, the soundtrack is atrocious! Who came up with those "sooo!" keyboard sounds that are really loud during the fight scene? Ugh. And the Indiana-Jonesesque punch/kick sounds do not work. They were used as a joke during the 80's and never meant to be taken serious 20 years later, on a movie meant to be taken serious in 2011. Cmon!

Second, the choreography is ridiculously weak... after all of the good works Andreas Vasshaug has participated in, he should be ashamed to have his name attached to this garbage. Did you see the way the girl tripped the guy, and then put his leg in a headlock?! Smh whaaaa?? Why didn't the guy fight back with his arms? He just laid on his back, squirming around while he got his butt handed to him.

Third, where the in the world is Amy Linsamouth going with this nonsense?? Does she really believe that Bryan Sato, a cute short Asian man who dresses in a very respectable manner, convinces the audience that he has a "dark" and "deadly" side...? Cmon, Emily Varzelle has a way more darker and deadlier side! According to what I saw, she is trained in martial arts, can easily participate in a strong-man rock-lifting competition, and can disable a fully grown man by putting his leg in a headlock. SHE is the one deserving of the attack. Dude was just defending himself after the first take down... he even tried to escape but the girl wouldn't let him, which is why he back-handed her (though clearly that hand never even got close to her face). Then the "dark" and "deadly" Damian can't even move after getting kicked to the ground, while Camilla MURDERS him with a giant rock?!? Wtf! WHY is Camilla over-reacting to Damian this way? They are LOVERS... not friends, but LOVERS. How does someone kill their LOVER for unbuttoning their shirt? Soooooo muuuuuuch EXTREMISM.

Is this a short film about a guy who went too far during a date in the park.... a guy who thought that his girl, whom he loves, would be interested in some kinky action in a public place... a guy who is secretly dark and deadly and mean and a rapist and wanting to hurt his tall blonde girlfriend in a public place with two hikers nearby............. or is it about a girl who thought that her lover wouldn't be so horny as to want to fool around in a public place on a picnic... a girl who was sexually assaulted as a young teen and decided to attend a kickboxing class everyday for 8 years straight, all in preparation for the day that her lover decides to touch her in the wrong place at the wrong time and she can get even.... a girl who secretly has a fetish to beat up a little Asian guy in a park and then drop a giant boulder on his skull and kill him in public?!? WHO is really at fault here?? I will tell you who.....

Amy Linsamouth.

She made this trash... she wrote it, produced it, and directed it. Maybe she wanted to participate in this whole "female empowerment" thing and showcase how a small little Asian boy could easily turn into Satan at the park and deserve to be murdered by his girlfriend over one little inappropriate touch. Maybe she wanted to showcase how a tall, quiet blonde girl might seem like an easy target for sexual assault, but after one quick swoop to the leg and a headlock to the shin she can easily murder her boyfriend with a 50 lb. rock to the face. Or maybe... just maybe... Amy Linsamouth had no effing CLUE what she was doing when she wrote, produced, and directed this crap.

What I just watched should have been made by a middle-schooler. Maaaaaybe a high-schooler. But definitely not an adult. This story could never be taken serious, and the only time in human history that this would happen is between two NON-lovers with serious psychological issues. If two lovers ever reacted this way then you know that the story is much deeper.... much much deeper than Amy Linsamouth could ever communicate through paper and camera. A writer/producer/director (hey, that's what M. Night Shamalamalyan is!) should never hide their true murderous intentions behind the guise of female-empowerment... it is waaaaaay too easy to see right through their thoughts. What, does Linsamouth hate public display of affection? Does she hate Asian men? Does she hate biracial relationships? Does she secretly want to bash in the brains of the guy who took her on a cute picnic date but then tried to unbutton her shirt when she spilled food on herself?? What is the hidden motive here? Because "female empowerment" is too obvious.... Linsamouth must have a "deeper" and "darker" (and "deadlier") message in this film, right?

If she is ever arrested for murdering her boyfriend with a giant rock, we will know that this film was a dire warning of the future to come!

IF this was a high-school film project I would have given it a 6/10 for the female-empowerment message and the self-serving assault that occurred on a super smart Asian boy who's family paid for his SAT scores to be altered so he could get into Harvard. But I give it a 1/10 for everything I said above, and the fact that Amy Linsamouth was 22 years old when she made this wannabe-female-empowerment garbage.

Last, but not least, I feel bad that this film ended cameraman Daryl Ray Guerrero's career. It isn't fair that Linsamouth did this to him!
