An enjoyable episode but a very worrying one.Charlie's brains have clearly fallen out of her head, as despite all the evidence she's seen that Brax is a bad guy, she continues sleeping with him and actually plans to announce the fact in public.Morag's apparently magical realisation of this fact is a pretty contrived plot device yet Charlie still doesn't get the message.Her father really would be ashamed of her right now.
It's also a worrying episode for Xavier and April fans, as a double date seems designed to show April and Dexter sharing private jokes and leaving Xavier out in the cold.(Although it's perhaps fair recompense for Xavier and April's habit of making out when they're supposed to be spending time with Dexter.)Dexter turns down the possibility of a relationship with a nice girl to continue making eyes at a girl who already has a boyfriend.
Did I say enjoyable?Well, yes, it is.Ruby is on fine form, managing to win an argument with Charlie without really arguing and once more being the mature one in the family.It's got Georgina Watson, out of uniform and marvelling at the stupidity of those around her.It's got Summer, showing she's not just an airhead.And, if you can ignore Dexter hanging around at the fringes, Xavier and April are as cute as ever.So not a bad way to spend 21 minutes.
