Amazing!

I just saw this movie for the first time today! WOW! So powerful and raw! The surprise element was so effective. The message hit hard at the end! Great job! I would love to see more from this company and the actors. I think its important for these type of cultural situations to be highlighted - its the only way to promote understanding. I believe something like this should be a part of children's social classes from grade 5 upwards. Amazing! Canadian actors and writers need to be showcased more often. We seem to be able to get at the heart of a matter. A very real representation of a real situation. I would love to see more of this than the crap that is produced out of Hollywood.

Worthy Family Drama.
RockGrey31 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen this short film a couple of times. I am very impressed. Like several others it deals with some heavy issues in a surprisingly short period of time. Family honor, how to define such honor, dignity, honesty, who is family, how is a family made in the social meaning of the word family, how to grow up with this, what this means for the family - heady stuff. However, it deals with it very well. For all of her brief appearance Sandy Sidhu does a good job of the boys' mother. The reason is she suggests a strong hint that she knows the reason for the problem that starts the story (a reason that the plotline suggests is NOT her characters fault in the slightest). All in a good film. A worthy watch if only for the smart way it deals with how to resolve family issues.

Cultural Bias
winningdawg7 June 2015
Lets say the culture of European descent is referred to "white culture". I have seen much more racism from white culture, and dis-owner ship of family for much lesser traits and accusations in "white culture", the peasantry and child slave labor of the English, disowning family was rampant in the 19 centuries in white culture, you have forgotten that women only got the vote in 1920. To have this blame others culture, since we do the same is indoctrination, and hate speech itself if you want to know about a culture get to know the person and then a good representation of it. this is a propaganda film, of I am holier than thou, because you think you are holier than "I". whose calling who out and who actually think whom is better than the other due to relative and distinguishable dysfunction?? On the whole I cannot respect a "prop" film and simple representation of a culture through as such, a "Propaganda" film. the so called "white culture" is equally and highly dysfunctional, it depends on the spin put on it by the director. An example could even be CSI or and crime drama, about murder and espionage, but no that is dramatized differently. With a totally different spin. That concept is Highly, Highly dysfunctional, yet it is not given media and or even on the news. If there was a gang rape in America it doesn't have that effect, or lets use the Viking pillagers raping everything that breathed, yet the so called white culture is not degraded, there is rape in India and the whole country is justified to be full of rapists !! get out of here with that media indoctrination.
