Brutally honest an poetic film about growing up in Serbia
luka1-28 May 2013
Vlada leaves his small hometown and spends a last night with his friends. This film shows the despairs and hopes of young people in Serbia, the fears of growing up and taking responsibility the joy of playing and living, the meaning of friendship. It is an insight of a generation growing up between socialism and capitalism and getting lost on the way. Very honest and playful, often bitter. This film by young director Nebojsa Nenadic has great acting compared with an incredible authentic, yet poetic setting and leaves you with a strange mixture of a warm feeling and total alienation. This movie is one of my favorites of the new wave of Serbian directors, a must see masterpiece!
