Being one of the few gay men who has survived, hey face it most everyone I know died, this show is by far the most accurate depiction of gay life I have ever seen.
Nothing is glossed over. The meat rack on fire island is even referred to as "church". Which for many it is. This show so gets it.
The actors couldn't be better. Across the spectrum. Nothing is cliched or false. The history, the music, even the haircuts. This is the gay epic I never thought I'd see.
Yet it remains a love story spanning decades.
It's mind blowing how clearly this story is told including all of the complicated and messiness that occurred.
