Kelly Severide: Guys, fill us in.
Construction worker #1: Our rigger was about to hook up to a load and something went haywire.
Construction worker #2: The motor controller just kicked in for no reason, and it started hauling up the hook block.
Construction worker #1: Teddy was holdin' onto it and it took him straight up into the air.
Construction worker #2: By the time I hit the kill switch, he was already halfway to the moon.
Stella Kidd: And we can't just lower him back down?
Construction worker #2: No, I'm not gonna touch a switch until the technicians get out here and figure out what was going wrong. The slightest hiccup, and Teddy's a goner.
Kelly Severide: What's the ETA on the technicians?
Construction worker #1: No idea. He's coming all the way from Bensenville.
Kelly Severide: Hey, we can't wait for that.
Stella Kidd: Yeah.
Kelly Severide: He's either gonna tire out or a gust of wind's gonna come.
Stella Kidd: He's way out of reach of the aerial.
Kelly Severide: If you can get us to that jib arm, we can crawl across the truss and then rope down to him from above.
Stella Kidd: That seems kind of dicey.
Kelly Severide: Yeah, but it'll work. The only problem is, I don't have enough manpower. My guys gotta immobilize all that rigging. Can I borrow Gallo?
Stella Kidd: Gallo. Hey, the squad's going up. You wanna give 'em a hand?
Blake Gallo: Are you kidding? Absolutely.
Kelly Severide: All right, grab your harness. You're roping down to the victim.
Blake Gallo: Hot damn.
Stella Kidd: He's doin' the rescue?
Kelly Severide: Yeah, I've been working with him for a while, training on the side. He was born for this. Hey, Cruz, come on. Let's go up.
Joe Cruz: Copy that.
Stella Kidd: All right, Mouch, on the aerial. Mason, deploy the airbag with me.
