Many reviewers complain the first half of the story is too slow. While this is not exactly accurate, there is a point during the first half that the story slows down to a more normal rate. This is so you can more closely identify with the characters. This episode is when this begins. We still get some interesting clues; Suzuha displays some unusual characteristics and seems to imply Kurisu will do something bad in the future. Apart from that we get some solid reveals about CERN and the okabe / kurisu relations keeps on developing. Overall an excellent episode.
