Learn more- The first results show of the 13th season of "Dancing with the Stars" starts with a rousing group routine to Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory," but one couple is on the edge of elimination -- and they're hanging on only about an hour longer with us.
Host Tom Bergeron doesn't waste any time, getting right to some results and calling the first three couples to the stage: Ricki & Derek, Elisabetta & Val, and Rob & Cheryl.
To the results: The first couple safe is Ricki & Derek. Also coming back next week is Elisabetta & Val. Rob & Cheryl are in jeopardy.
Backstage, Elisabetta is very thankful to have a second chance, and her partner Val is also glad to be back for more than one week in his debut "DWTS" season. Derek admits he was nervous on Monday night in his first night back on the show in about a year.
After a long featuette showing us the cast backstage -- Ron Artest wants to hit the clubs with Nancy Grace -- we get to a performance from Harry Connick Jr., who does the title tune from his new Broadway show, "On a Clear Day."
Back to the results, Tom calls three more couples to the stage. Hope & Maks, Kristin & Mark and Ron & Peta. Hope & Maks are safe while Ron & Peta are in jeopardy. Kristin & Mark are safe.
LMFAO pays a visit to perform its summer hit, "Party Rock Anthem."
Tom calls three more couples to the stage: J.R. & Karina, Chynna & Tony, and Chaz & Lacey. The next couple safe for another week is Chynna & Tony.J.R. & Karina are also safe. Chaz & Lacey are safe, as well -- much to Lacey's surprise.
Finally, the last three couples hit the stage. David & Kym, Carson & Anna, and Nancy & Tristan. The next couple definitely safe is David & Kym. Nancy & Tristan are still in jeopardy. Carson & Anna are safe.
Down to the final three "in jeopardy" couples -- Rob & Cheryl, Ron & Peta and Nancy & Tristan -- are about to learn their fate. Rob & Cheryl are safe.
With just two couples left, Len Goodman says he'll be sad to see either couple go after just one dance.
The couple leaving after just one week is ... "Metta" & Peta. Which is probably not the worst thing, because it was going to be tough to call Ron Artest "Metta" all season.
