"Unfavorable Odds" looks and feels like a film that a group of friends whipped up for their own amusement. The story about a husband that bets his friend that he can't seduce his wife is far from original. The script's dialog is obvious and uninspired. The performances while energetic are stilted and generally over the top. Visually the movie is competently shot, but relies too heavily on aerial and tracking shots. The staging is flat and unremarkable. A major technical drawback of the film is the sound. While the dialog is generally audible, the sound re-recording is uneven and choppy. The score sounds generic, but the songs are one of the few highlights of the movie. Filmgoers looking for a wholesome comedy with no sex, violence, or nudity, might be mildly amused by this movie. However, they would be better off avoiding this knockoff of a knock off and instead streaming something written by Preston Sturges.or Garson Kanin/Ruth Gordon from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Absolutely one of the worst movies I've ever seen! It's obvious the same hotel that is used in New York is the same hotel used in Dallas. When the stalker hubby shows up in New York, there is a car with TX tags. Then in Dallas he's in the exact same hotel. The sound would stop & then kick in when a character was talking. It must have been filmed with the original iPhone. You have two incredibly talented actresses in the film such as Eunik Richards, Kayla Gilchrist, Abbey Killin & Destiny Washington. It's obvious in one of the opening scenes s his coffee cup is empty the way he's dancing. He gets stop by airport security for items in his carryon that's he going to use to do harm to Wes. Yet they let him go after he just been arrested a few scenes for spying on his wife & wearing a pink ski mask.

I am the biggest fan of giving movies the benefit of the doubt. This movie, however, was absolutely terrible. The writing is bad and the acting is bad. As stated before, the sound cuts in and out. The main story, where it could have been funny, cute, or emotional is instead just lame and it focuses all around the wrong parts of things where it could have been a decent base idea. It's both the epitome of idiocy. The story makes this man basically treat his wife like trash, then bets that his friend couldn't seduce her, then stalk them all over instead of just treat her well. Rather, he acts like a pouty child around her. I wanted to like from the previews but even forgiving the bad acting I couldn't forgive the terrible writing and plot. The only consolation is that I didn't have to pay for the ticket.

DECENT! I agree with some of the reviews about the sound, some of the locations and some of the actors being subpar. However, I did like the storyline. What movie hasn't been done before? The story is another person's perspective. It was funny, entertaining, and I enjoyed it. My question for those with the rude and disrespectful comments, can you list your projects that you've done and let us judge them? If not, save us the reviews that take away from others making their own assessments of these types of films. Everybody doesn't have the same opinion. You do us a disservice trying to sway us from making our own judgment.

What a waste of time!....This was the worst written, worst acted, worst storyline of any movie I've ever seen in the theater. I made a big mistake wasting 2 hours of my life seeing something that wasn't even good enough for a lifetime movie on TV. The sets looked straight out of a porn movie???...I understand low budget films have limitations but WHY? Did anyone even think this was viable?....
Please movie producers...some imagination?...some set production?....and I can't even start on the script that was abysmal. I was waiting for any redeeming moment to no avail. Really....don't waste your time with this movie.
