Since this final edition of the Softball-themed Girlfriends Films series also serves double duty as Episode 22 of the label's ongoing "Thornhill Diaries", it is quite disappointing in failing to advance a story line of either saga.
Instead we get four sex vignettes that follow a tired format of seduction or coercion, revolving around the issue of high school girls trying to get into University of Thornhill and/or join the Women's Softball squad under coach Darryl Hanah.
Hanah has only a brief cameo in this edition, sitting with Maggie St. Michaels for solidarity as latter interviews prospect, Allie Haze. Haze is being sponsored by Tanya Tate, with Tate also disappointingly only contributing a NonSex cameo.
So we get Haze rebuffed by Maggie, until ordered by Tate to have sex with the older woman, just the trick to get into school. The current college admissions scandal (that included stars Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman) pales in comparison to Girlfriends' repeated emphasis on submitting to lesbian sex with school officials in order to matriculate.
Alexis Texas is cast against type as a bad girl here, while Ariella Ferrera shines in a lesbian 3-way scene. My personal favorite Juliana Jolene is well-matched with Bobbi Starr and the big-name cast also features Tori Black (currently back in starring roles a decade after her heyday) in two sex scenes.
