Phil's visit to his doctor for a physical turns the subject of anxiety throughout the show. Dr. Sendroff touches Phil's arm and he feels pain. The doctor decides to run a couple of tests on the man. Not to worry, Sendroff assures him, if there is anything wrong, he will notify his patient right away. The following morning as Phil prepares to leave, is told by Luke the doctor called, but left no message. Phil begins to get scared.

Mitchell arrives home with his trophy for his work on environmental law. Cam puts it on their mantel right away. He is proud of the achievement. Later on, Cam adds a trophy he won in a fishing competition back in Missouri. Mitchell notices with surprise as Cam's trophy grows with different objects that are placed on it to make it seem taller. Later on Mitchell discovers a box full of trophies his partner won for different things, but he discovers a mouse on the box, so he drops the whole thing on the floor.

Gloria insists Jay accompany Manny and Javier to the racetrack. Javier is a gambler with a skill that according to Jay is nothing but based on gut feelings rather on facts. While Jay sticks to his method and keeps losing, Manny and Javier are picking a lot of winners. When Jay tries to proves a point and wins big, his horse is disqualified, which makes Javier seem smarter in Manny's eyes.

Gloria has had a bad dream. A black mouse figures in it, a bad omen, as far as she is concerned. Finally the doctor calls him. He is fine, the physician only wanted Phil to sell his house!
