I enjoyed very much this journey through the Vendée: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects of the Vendée: the nature conservancy in the islands of Noirmoutier and Yeu (the écogarde Jade Combeau and her colleague patroling the paths and the beaches, observing the quality of the sea water, the colect of plastic wastes, Laure Jandet and the recycling of the plastics of the fishing nets), Nicolas Jung Turck and the beach club "Les Tritons", Josette Gravier-the 91 years old woman who has been a "Triton" in 1947-), the vacationers (Yves Robert and his family, the beach cabin rented every year, the vacation home, the "congés payés" and the begin of tourism in Vendée), the "Marais Poitevin" (Pascal Retiveau and the dam for the regulation of the water, Jean-Guy Robin,the ecogarde" observing the fauna -birds like avocets, the prawns and the eels in the rivers-, the waterways in the Marais Poitevin (Lucie Vallat-the batelière- showing to the visitors the fauna and flora of the waterways, Didier Moreau and the 45 boat drivers of the Magné), the beekeper Guillaume Michel (the alfalfa , the sunflower and the mixed honey, the breeding of queen bees), the agriculture in the Vendée (the bocage lanscape, the Agricultural Fair ,the race of combine harvester, Valentin Werther-the farmer worker making substitute work when the farmers go on holiday-, Irène et Yves Fourny and their organic farm, Agnès Texier- and her poultry farm -the solar panels-), the historic theme park of the Puy du Fou (the travel through the history of France, the spectacle, Vincent Marot-the stunt and actor-, Guillaume Vergnaud and the planning of the same theme park in Spain, Pascal Remigereau-the rider and horse trainer- and Christophe Sicot-the gardener of the park and the bio vegetables sold in the park-).
I enjoyed the encounters of Ismaël with Anne Legouais and Frédéric Fonteneau (the skipper of the "Ciboulette") , with the vacationers Soline and Denis (camping of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez), with Renaud Masson (the first lessons of surfing), with Tristan Guilbaud (the professional surfer, with Noémie and Damien Ravon and their children ,the sheep farm, the Lacaune sheep and the cheese factory), with Manuel Cousin (the finisher of the Globe Vendée 2020-2021) and Alexia Barbier (another skipper); nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
