Hurricane Irma hit the Florida Keys on Sunday as a category 4 storm – but only now is the destruction becoming clear.
Although frustrated Floridians are anxious to return home, officials are still enforcing an access ban in the Lower Keys as they evaluate the infrastructure, the roadways, health hazards and other safety measures. A dawn-to-dusk curfew remains in place.
“The wind may have stopped blowing, but for most of the Florida Keys, there is no fuel, electricity, running water, or cell service. For many people, supplies are running low and anxiety is running high,” a statement from Monroe County officials said.

Authorities have arrested a 17-year-old male in relation to the murder of 6-year-old Jenise Wright, who was reported missing Sunday, Aug. 3.
Jenise Wright Went Missing Sunday, Aug. 3
Wright was reported missing Monday, having last been seen by her parents Saturday night in bed. Wright’s parents told authorities they did not report her missing during the day on Sunday because Wright was allowed to wander around the mobile home community, and would do so often without parental supervision. However, when night began, the parents became worried and, after going door to door searching for their young daughter, called the sheriff’s office.
Wright lived with her parents in Steele Creek Mobile Home Park, a community that contains an estimated 100 homes. And, as the investigation progressed on Monday, Aug. 4, two other children living in the home, a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, were removed from the home by Child Protective Services.

“It was a game where one would point a fake gun and then the suspect had taken the real gun and pulled the trigger, and it was loaded,” Det. Sgt. Andy Hynek of La Porte County Sheriff’s Department told ABC Chicago. “When you pull the trigger at the wrong time,...

This might be the fanciest trailer park in the world ... "Saw" star Betsy Russell is trying to unload her Malibu mobile home for just under $2 Million. Yes, we said Mobile home. The TLC reality star drove straight into an electric pole, according to a shocking report.
Oh no! Amanda Adams, who stars on TLC’s trailer-park reality show Welcome To Myrtle Manor, was arrested early April 26 on suspicion of DUI, TMZ is reporting.
Amanda’s “mangled” black Jeep Wrangler was found “right near a downed electric pole,” according to the report from Myrtle Beach, S.C., police. Though it has not been confirmed that Amanda hit the pole with her car, it certainly seems likely.
How Much Did Amanda Adams Have To Drink?
Amanda reportedly told police she had “three beers and four shots,” which might explain why she blew a .20 on her breathalyzer test.
For those of you keeping score at home, that’s more than double the legal limit in the state of South Carolina.
Who Is Amanda Adams?
That’s another very good question! Here are some quick...

It seems almost overdue that TV cameras are just now turning the spotlight on a trailer park, but TLC's "Welcome to Myrtle Manor," airing Sundays, chronicles an eclectic trailer park community in South Carolina. The new 10-part series takes viewers inside Myrtle Manor, formerly Patrick's Mobile Home Park, located off Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach, and exposes them to the oddball personalities and everyday conflicts of the tenants who live there.
The cast of characters includes some reality show staples: the hot chicks (Chelsey, Lindsay and Amanda), part of a hot dog business on wheels known as Darlin' Dogs; former drag queen Roy; kind-of-famous-in-Myrtle-Beach guy Taylor, a local club promoter, and his flirty, troublemaking girlfriend, Jessica; supposed TV jingle writer Bandit, who is close to eviction; 30-year resident Miss Peggy; freeloading new guy Jared; and a mix of others.

The 20th edition of the French Film Festival revved into action last night in Edinburgh's Filmhouse with a screening of charming and poignant comedy Mobile Home - and the Belgian co-production is a testimony to how far the event has come, with French language films from Switzerland and Canada also making an appearance this year.
The screening was attended by not one star but three, with director François Pirot and actors Guillaume Gouix and Arthur Dupont all on hand to talk about the story of two friends whose plans to leave home and see the world don't quite turn out as they expect. The trio proved an entertaining bunch, with plenty of Gallic charm.
Apologising for his lack of English, Gouix said: "When you speak three languages, you are trilingual. When you speak two languages, you're bilingual and when you speak one language... you're French."
Dupont, meanwhile, who would...

While Cannes’ Quinzaine struggles to reframe its identity, its former artistic director Olivier Père continues to impress in his new job at the Locarno Film Festival. On Wednesday, he and his programming team unveiled a lineup that is absolutely salivatory, a who’s who for high-minded cinephiles. Perhaps most impressive of all, he has managed to once again nudge the festival’s selection aesthetic even deeper into esoteric ‘experimental’ territory without seeming all that radical. More than any other festival, Locarno is the home for the edgy projects that are too sophisticated for Cannes, whose cold shoulder to avant-garde narrative filmmaking becomes more glaring with each passing year. Check out the complete line-up at the bottom of this page.
