Obviously there was a very small budget for this movie. It appears that the actors were all first timers, except for one and my guess is that he is the main character of the movie. The storyline is rare these days. It is also obvious that this movie was filmed in the 80's. But the message within the movie is worth enduring the lack of glitz and glam. This is a really family friendly movie, especially if teenagers or pre-teens are watching. I could not give it more than a 6 based on the quality of the acting. However, I would watch it again.

Hilariously overwrought

Warning: Spoilers
BROTHER ENEMY is a hilariously overwrought 'Godsploitation' epic made on a tiny budget but with plenty of enthusiasm. The main character is a God-fearing local who entertains kids with some slightly creepy hand puppets, SESAME STREET-style. His workshop is trashed one day by some angry teenagers who are subsequently caught, but he decides to help them see the light rather than punish them. This is a slice of Christian propaganda which continually pushes a pro-Bible agenda down the throats of the viewers. The actors aren't up to much but the dialogue is ripe and it's all quite amusing.
