Dawn is a man!
lor_8 August 2017
Unless you're a Tony Orlando fan, "Dawn" in show biz turns out to be a female impersonator directing exclusively for the mysterious Euro porn label daring! Media Group. That was my takeaway from watching this typically lousy Dawn DVD, made in America with familiar Chatsworth talent.

It's the usual five pantomime sex vignettes, meant to be arousing but so mechanical as to veto that effect. The BTS short subject, hosted by actor Bill Bailey, shows us around a lavish mansion where the porn scenes were shot, and perhaps daring! can someday get some use out of this video re-marketing it as a Real Estate promo.

But the true revelation of the BTS is a man's voice repeatedly yelling "Action!" as we see the scenes being shot -so the cat is out of the bag, the director named Dawn is male. I had wondered about that sort of ruse for years, as daring! is one of the few Adult companies that has always had a business model of providing pornography for Couples (I guess Wicked and Adam & Eve have the longest track record in that field but both of those American companies have strayed considerably into all-sex and even gonzo content of late), so when they advertised DVDs by "Dawn", "Lisa Loves" and "Diane Summers" I got suspicious. It turns out that Lisa Loves is real, but like Dawn, Diane Summers is a fictitious creation, parallel to famous stateside men shooting porn as "Jane Waters" and "Loretta Sterling". I'll take an honest man, like Chi Chi Larue, anytime over these phonies.

On to the content, what little of it there is: Alanah Rae is breast in show as usual, flaunting those amazing gazongas as she humps Diether Von Stein, a lucky Euro stud who pops up in these daring! projects but generally is absent from the American porn scene. He's so lucky that he gets to hump a second time, paired with willowy blonde Riley Evans.

Top billing goes to Alexis Texas, having sex with the aforementioned Bill Bailey, in hardly her finest hour. As with much of modern pornography, the mindlessness and lack of story or characters to become involved with leads me and no doubt others to be distracted by the setting, in this case a far more dramatic bit of luxury housing than is usually rented for the XXX shooting occasion.

P.S.: The title "In a Glimpse" is meaningless as usual, just a daring! attempt at suggesting dreamy romance, but in reality a form of video narcolepsy.
