If there’s one thing celebrities love, it’s insisting that they’re just like you. Usually, those comments are met with eyerolls, but when Mo Gilligan tells you he’s a normal guy, I for one believe him. He may rarely be off our TV screens, but the stand-up comedian counteracts the glitz and glamour, the live TV and awards’ shows, by gardening and scoping out deals in his local Sainsbury’s. “I’m very much into really mundane, core normality things because there’s things I do in my life that I don’t want to normalise yet,” he tells me.
You can’t blame Gilligan for being overwhelmed by his success. In a few years, the 34-year-old has gone from stand-up comic (performing under the name Mo the Comedian) and social media star to a Bafta-winning presenter. Looking for entertainment on a Friday night? He’s hosting...

The executive was promoted to the role in March 2022, reporting into former Hulu executive Beatrice Springborn, who was at the same time appointed president of UCP and Uis.
O’Donoghue was previously executive VP of business affairs and operations for Uis. He was upped to acting head of studio at Uis in September 2020, overseeing international operations following the surprise exit of Jeff Wachtel, and remained in the role until last March.
While working as senior leadership at Uis, O’Donoghue also served as joint managing director and chief operating officer for “Downtown Abbey” producer Carnival Films, which many consider to be one of the crown jewels in the Uis production portfolio, alongside Working Title.

That’s My Jam UK and Made in Chelsea producer Monkey has hired Lime Pictures Head of Production Helen Kruger Bratt as its Managing Director. The company has also hired Amy Woolf as Head of Development.
Kruger Bratt will work alongside Creative Directors Will Macdonald and David Grainger and Monkey parent Universal International Studios to oversee a new phase of growth for the unscripted producer and lead its operations. She’ll also be responsible for developing and growing talent within the business.
At All3Media-owned Lime, she worked across Lime Unscripted, Wise Owl Films and Lion Television on shows such as The Only Way is Essex, Celebs Go Dating and Geordie Shore. Considering Monkey’s Made in Chelsea, currently in its 24th season and available in the U.S. on Peacock, inhabits the same scripted reality space as The Only Way is Essex, Kruger Bratt’s hire appears a smart one.
