Iris - dumbest a character in the history of TV
Fargomoviecritic31 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Iris is literally a stupid girl who doesn't understand the concept of trying to stay safe. She goes back tot he person who kept hart as a sex slave her entire life???? This is a dumb storyline and please get rid of her!!!!!!

She is sooooooo dumb!!! Taylor Sheridan you make women look weak in this show and this is the icing on the cake! All this girl needed to do was go and live her life out in witness protection or just take the free trip to Denver and then find a life out there. She will now be back as a hooker and doing drugs and then Mike's gonna save her. Why is she is stupid dumb b! Oh just saw the trailers for the next episode.

Iris the dog that returns to its vomit.

Warning: Spoilers
Iris the dog that returns to its vomit is the most apt way I can describe this character/person type.

I know of people like this.

They use people and then return to the same place where they ran away from to seek help.

Then when given help, like a restless animal they run back to the abuser.

It make's ones heart harden over time when you keep seeing these self destructive people.

But the problem is you end up wasting time on them when you could be helping those who actually want and need that same help.

I wish Mike would just cut her off. But, I am sure the writer's want us to hate watch this with her in it when they could just cut her character out and move on with a better story.

I am here for Bunny and Mike story not some simping on Iris by Mike.

Don't understand one thing
vovazg27 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Why would a driver with his wife next to him and a toddler sitting behind, shoot at a policeman just because he stopped the car that was towing a boat? He didn't really send any gangsta/criminal vibe at all. Even if he had to go to prison for something from before why risk his family lives like this? Is this kind of situation based on reality or just Taylor went a bit sideways this time to create another shock that involves family with children? Was thinking that it's a bit wild to think that a part of society, not just this driver but also all the young people would behave like this, taking weapons in their hands and engage them selves into a very life risky situations where your life is ended or confined in prison. Otherwise a very suspenseful story, engaging and very entertaining.

Survival

Great episode. The show is pacey, multiple interesting storylines that oftentimes intertwine with each other.

The horror of gun violence is also depicted in this episode. The show is starting to show its true potential. Aiden Gillen "Littlefinger" did not say a word but his cold look was enough for this episode.

The 'we need a Sweden' bit was humorous, so there is that dark comedy as well. Acting is top-notch.

The only problem that I have is with the character arc of Iris. I believe the show could have gone on with out her. Taking an order has been pretty hard for her on several times.

Hoping for a great rest of the show.

Benefit of a Boutique show

If you study the Taylor Sheridan phenom (he is an actor too, believe it or not) you get the feeling that, while the Yellowstone franchise puts food on the table, this is where his heart lies. With Yellowstone, you have egos everywhere. Big names, big studios, big worries. In this show I am seeing some experiments in scripting I have never seen before. This episode is an example. First and foremost, this is for a male audience. There is nothing here that resonates with a self-identifying female viewer. Guys love to problem solve and the setup for "Mike" to find a solution is fascinating. Almost experimental theatre. Impressive. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer."
