This Girlfriends series has recently been beefed and made a regular in the rotation of new product (one Women Seeking Woman volume released each month, etc.), but this early entry is weak. Difficulty of maintaining a continuous story line from show to show is already evident after just 4 episodes.
Central incest theme is hammered at, with step-daughter Lily Carter's relationship with her current mom Zoey Holloway front & center right during the brief pre-movie Recap footage, as we see Zoey previously reaming the youngster with a strap-on dildo. Lily, who gets a character name Hayden in the series while her co-stars fall back upon their stage names, visits very young blonde Bree Daniels, who easily seduces her in the opening vignette. Lily plays it shy for the nonce, but is a tiger in the sack once the Sapphic XXX action gets going.
Key revelation in the opening scene is that Hayden is planning to marry her step mom after Zoey gets rid of her ne'er-do-well husband (he's shown briefly in the Recap getting chewed out by his wife and thrown out of the house. Pretense for the visit to Bree's home is to buy an engagement ring and wedding dress from her for the upcoming same-sex nuptials.
A zoftig blonde, who facially resembles Sam Ryan, Natalie Nice visits Lily/Hayden and latter convinces her to play strip poker, leading to another sex scene in which now it's Lily who is doing the "conversion to lesbian" routine rather than receiving the indoctrination.
When Zoey gets home, Hayden rather nastily tells her that Natalie has been carrying on an affair with Hayden's birth mother (!), contradicting the previous scene's supposed sexual initiation by her of Nat. Zoey is outraged and phones NN's mom, occasioning a pointless cameo by Brenda James, as her character never reappears in the "Please!" series again.
Throwing in some kink, perhaps to wake up the audience, Zoey has lovely Nat in bondage, and has sex with her, eventually freeing her hands so that NN can fully participate. I was impressed with Natalie's good looks, and not surprised that this unfamiliar actress remained largely under the radar by spending her career mainly in those throwaway bondage/fetish videos, sort of referenced here by Zoey tying her up.
Final scene is extraneous to the show, part of the current emphasis (in the era of streaming) on stand-alone vignettes. Zoey has baked cookies for cute Rilee Marks (whose character is not introduced well or explained) and has a petite blonde Elaina Raye hanging out in the kitchen when she serves them (Raye is also injected into the video without set-up or explanation, perhaps waiting for Tom Stoppard to provide back story and future stardom a la Rosencrantz and Guildenstern).
Zoey takes the little girls to her bedroom to have Rilee try on some of Lily's clothing to be given to her as hand-me-downs. This "to the bedroom" ploy is perhaps the most frequent of Girlfriends Films tropes, trotted out hundreds of times (including in the opening scene here with Bree) to segue from casual conversation to industrial strength seduction.
Soon Zoey has all three of them topless (it's brassiere trying on time) and makes a convenient exit so that the young'uns can indulge in Sapphic sex. And so ends the sort of sex filler that gives the label such lengthy DVDs.
