  Mike Scarlatti : What are you doing?

  Ed Lane : Hey sorry to interrupt this is Edward Lane, I'm Mr. Scarlatti's wine representative. I'm sorry to tell you that we got a better offer so um thank you, and you have a great day. Done.

  [Hangs up phone and pats Spike on the shoulder] 

  Ed Lane : Just like that.

  Sam Braddock : We were thinking maybe you shouldn't sell this stuff Spike.

  Raf Rousseau : You don't wanna waste it on a guy who won't appreciate it.

  Ed Lane : Buddy, come on we can figure out how to make a couple bottles of this stuff. It's gonna be great.

  Mike Scarlatti : Are you serious?

  Sam Braddock : I'm more of a beer guy myself.

  Ed Lane : Christmas presents, Sam.

• Mike Scarlatti : It's all in boxes, up to here.

  Mike Scarlatti : My mom and I are eating outta paper plates.

  Ed Lane : You guys lived there for a long time right?

  Mike Scarlatti : Forty years worth of stuff and I got six days to clear it before the open house. Craigslist, where priceless family heirlooms go to die.

  Ed Lane : So tell me, your dad's wine is that stuff any good or what?

  Mike Scarlatti : Terrible.

  [Spike and Ed smile] 

  Mike Scarlatti : But you know, every year like the house would smell like wine juice and like yeast. And my dad'd be going down there in the basement like every twenty minutes...

  Gregory Parker : Spike.

  Mike Scarlatti : Hey boss.

  Gregory Parker : C'mon, lets go. It's late, lot to cover.

  Ed Lane : Okay, lets go.

  [Pats Spike on the shoulder] 

• Raf Rousseau : Today's not gonna win him any points with the authorities.

  Gregory Parker : No, no. But he was innocent, and he showed a strong moral code, and that counts for a lot. I'll talk to Lavery, maybe a criminal institution isn't the best place for him.

  Raf Rousseau : Change of environment?

  Gregory Parker : It's gonna make a world of difference.
