In this episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, "Shade for Days," Kenya spends some quality time with her dad, Phaedra and Todd try to resolve their differences and Kandi accuses Porsha of taking sides.
The day after Kandi and Demetria's video release party, Kandi learns of the dust-up between Phaedra, Porsha and Don Juan. Shamea drops by The Kandi Factory and starts to regale Kandi with the gory details, and Kandi is taken aback. Following in the footsteps of "Real Housewives" frenemy Kim Zolciak, NeNe Leakes has set her own wedding-centric spinoff series, "I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding," scheduled to premiere this fall on Bravo.
Leakes is preparing her second wedding to former husband Gregg Leakes -- the couple's separation and subsequent reconciliation was chronicled on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" -- and just like Zolciak's marriage to NFL player Kroy Biermann, the Leakes nuptials have been deemed worthy of their very own docu-series.
The show will focus on the build-up to the main event as NeNe works with celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook to design a "one-of-a-kind" wedding and will also track the drama in the Leakes' personal lives, including relationships with their children and NeNe's "father figure" Curtis. NeNe's bridal party will include some familiar faces: "Atlanta" co-star Cynthia Bailey and one of the series' recurring troublemakers, Marlo Hampton.

Kim Zolciak has asked a judge to dismiss former friend and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss' lawsuit against her over rights to the song "Tardy for the Party."
According to TMZ, Zolciak accuses Burruss of "viciously attacking" her and alleging claims that Burruss knows are false involving how the "Tardy" profits were split up. According to Zolciak, Burruss was "overpaid" by $6,000.
Zolciak also apparently insists Burruss only brought the lawsuit as a publicity stunt to help promote her new Bravo show "The Kandi Factory."
Which is interesting, because Season 2 of Zolciak's own spinoff "Don't Be Tardy..." premieres tomorrow night. Fortunate timing, isn't it?
At any rate, Burruss and Zolciak didn't delve into the lawsuit on last night's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion part 2, even though Burruss filed it -- with the help of attorney and fellow "Real Housewife" Phaedra Parks -- the week of the taping.

The "Real Housewives" franchise is getting into the singing competition business with "The Kandi Factory." The new series features "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss as she pits two aspiring pop stars against one another. She runs them through her makeover "factory," writes a song for each of them, hooks them up with a choreographer and then puts them head-to-head.
The pair compete in front of a live audience, and perhaps the whirlwind experience was a bit overwhelming for Lauryn. She fell down during her performance, though she didn't give up. She kept singing and she kept dancing -- once she got back on her feet. Perhaps her heart and perseverance helped her as Lauryn came out on top over 27-year-old Darian.
The prize Lauryn gets for winning this premiere episode is having her song released online along with a music video. But The Stir was underwhelmed with "The Kandi Factory.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" fan favorite Kandi Burruss debuted her very own spinoff series, "The Kandi Factory," tonight on Bravo.
After a one-off airing last year, Kandi's weekly show arrived feeling like a cross between "American Idol" and "America's Next Top Model." Each week she'll pit two pop star hopefuls against each other in a bid to record a single based on their personal life and make a music video. Assisting Kandi and mentoring the contestants are producer Don Vito, choreographer Victor Jackson and stylist Kwame Waters.
Now, we know Kandi has serious writing credits like TLC's "No Scrubs" and Destiny's Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills" under her belt, but she's also responsible for Kim Zolciak's "Tardy for the Party." And given the horrific track record "Real Housewives" has in the music industry, we're not sure why anyone would actually believe getting on a show related in any way...

Viewers know Kandi Burruss from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but long before catfighting, the Bravo personality was top charting in the music industry. A former member of the platinum-selling group Xscape, the Grammy-winning songwriter (TLC's "No Scrubs") wrote hit singles for superstars like Whitney Houston, Pink and Destiny's Child. Now, she's headlining her own Bravo show. The Kandi Factory (premiering Tuesday at 10/9c) brings Burruss back to her musical roots, as she mentors amateur musicians to find the next big sensation.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" fans knew this moment had to come some day: Kandi Burruss is suing ex-cast member Kim Zolciak for royalties Burruss claims she's owed from the 2009 single "Tardy for the Party."
And as if that's not enough drama there's a third "Real Housewives" star involved in the legal skirmish: Burruss has hired Phaedra Parks as her attorney.
The saga of "Tardy for the Party" has been chronicled in full on the Bravo reality soap. Original cast member Zolciak always wanted to be a singer and when Burruss (a member of the R&B group Xscape and songwriter of hits including TLC's "No Scrubs" and Destiny's Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills") joined the show in Season 2, they formed a friendship that eventually led to a professional collaboration.
But Burruss has long maintained that Zolciak failed to properly compensate her for writing "Tardy for the Party." Their relationship soured...

It's been a big year of moving beyond the mothership for the ladies of "Real Housewives of Atlanta." The Series Premiere of "The Kandi Factory" (Sun., 10 p.m. Est on Bravo), featured "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" star, singer-songwriter and producer Kandi Burruss, working her magic on some aspiring performers.
The aim of the show is for Kandi and her team to turn two musical "diamonds in the rough" into stars in just six days.
The first pair to feel the Kandi magic were college student Matthew Solomon and single mom Melissa Rose. Kandi wrote a song especially for each of them and at the end of the week they performed their songs in front of a live audience.
Who won their own professionally recorded single and music video?
Kandi's verdict: "Welcome to the music business Matthew."
As he started hyperventilating with shock, she added, "You have won 'The Kandi Factory' stamp of approval, and you will go on to make your own music video and release your single.
