Company working on documentary Hostage To The Devil.
Spygirl Pictures, a New York-based genre film and television company, is partnering with Belfast-based Causeway Pictures to launch Causeway NY, the Us arm of the genre-focussed production company.
Causeway NY’s first project will be working on the Us elements of Hostage To The Devil, a feature documentary about New York-based exorcist Father Malachi Martin, directed by Irish director Marty Stalker. Northern Ireland Screen supported the film’s development. The film is currently in production with Us shooting scheduled to begin in May 2014.
Umbrella Entertainment will distribute Hostage To The Devil in Australia and New Zealand.

Spygirl Pictures has just released the trailer for the New England based horror film Erebus featuring the new song Hear Them All by D6 Decimators. ynopsis Erebus is an anthology ghost story told over three time periods revealing the history of a haunted hotel on Block Island Ri. It features horror icon Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes The Devils Rejects) genre personality and writer Michael Varrati as well as budding horror stars Vanessa Leigh (Almost Human) Michael Locicero (Almost Human) and Brandon Luis Aponte (Nun Of That The Disco Exorcist).

After Chillerama got the anthology bus rolling again last year, 2012 looks to be the year of he omnibus genre feature. The latest addition to the production slate is Erebus, the sophomore effort from Cut To The Chase Productions, hot on the heels of their first picture, Villanelle, currently in post. Erebus, starring Michael Berryman, Vanessa Leigh, Maria Natapov, Nicole Trychon, and Ally Tully, sounds like good old fashioned bloody fun. No release date has been announced.
