In keeping with the intention of Rudall Hayward to allow his films to be used for educational purposes, a new 16mm print was lodged with the National Film Library and a new censor's certificate showing a running time of 63 minutes was issued on 23 April 1980.
The original full-length version of 112 minutes is now lost. The film only survives in the version shortened for UK release, of 64 minutes.
This was Rudall Hayward's last feature film before To Love a Maori (1972) and the last locally-produced dramatic feature film made in New Zealand until Broken Barrier (1952).
