A fair amount of time has gone by since they married, the husband in his 40s now, and the wife in her 30s. For the first time in longer than either of them can remember, the two decide to head outside for a stroll. They walk together, underneath the cherry trees whose flowers have not yet bloomed. At a glance, their conversation seems as natural as that of any couple on any given day. But the husband, he is hiding something, and the wife realizes it. Neither one of them says a word about it, of course, and in a way, it all seems to be another day in the life of a typical Japanese couple, strolling along under the cherry trees.
