The opening vignette of this 80th entry in Girlfriends' endless series is cryptic, an example of the pitfalls of the label's production/distribution methods.
It begins with Girlfriends' trademark visual composition, a foursome of femmes (see any episode of Mother/Daughter Exchange Club) marching along like the Wild Bunch to nearly knock the door down to get into young Faye Reagan's home.
With Faye carrying on like a madwoman, they take her up to the bedroom with leader of the group India Summer assigning formidable Tanya Tate and Shay Fox to take the girl away for some unspecified therapy. Then India and Zoe Britton go to another bedroom, to wait, and finally the first XXX scene begins for the duo.
Other than Faye's shrieking about Shyla Jennings, we never find out what all the fuss was about. And Faye, Shay and Tanya get no screen credit and do not figure in this 3-hour show beyond this weird attempt at a segment set-up.
So clearly this segment was shot as part of some obscure story line Girlfriends project, only to be unceremoniously thrown in randomly to this WSW release. It exemplifies the notion that nowadays a porn "scene" is all that matters, in or out of context, as the fundamental unit of Adult content.
The other three segments are more straightforward. Shyla Jennings herself shows up as an eager kid seducing Nikki Daniels for her own sexual initiation in what could be a leftover scene from the Please Make Me Lesbian! series.
Busty Mellanie Monroe has her way sexually with Sabrina Deep, after arranging for Deep to be a housesitter while MM puts up her mom's home up for sale, having placed her in assisted living. An unannounced sequel to this scene is included in WSW #84, with Elexis Monroe having sex with Deep, and name-dropping Mellanie regarding the housesitting gig during the scene set-up.
And the best scene is from the label's Lesbian House Hunters series, with pros Phoenix Marie and Kara Price delivering some relatively rough sex as rivals for promotion at a realty firm.
