The movie was originally planned to be exactly 96 minutes long, in order to keep with the theme of the number 6. This changed as it became apparent that more needed to be cut in the service of pacing.
In the scene in which Liesel Hlista is driving away from the climactic showdown, her tears are entirely real. It was shot a week before she would leave to attend Chapman University in California. She later said she mustered the tears by thinking of having to leave her family and friends and move across the country.
The scene where Stuart and Seth are driving to the party, the two actors were never in the same car together. In fact, David Rothrock's half was shot in April of 2002 in San Antonio, TX and Andrew Rosas' half was filmed in February of 2003 in Austin, TX.
Over 36 hours of footage was shot for the movie.
Kent Zambrana's former band Landon High contributed five songs to the soundtrack, and in the scene where we first meet Stuart, Andrew Rosas is wearing a Landon High T-shirt.
