- When Kiera discovers Liber8's plan to return to 2077, she must decide whether or not to align herself with her sworn enemies.
- Kiera's pretense of being a Portland police officer doesn't last very long and she soon finds herself under arrest. She manages to get free and with young Alec Sadler's help, creates a profile for herself that convinces the police that she is a government agent so deep undercover that that they can't possibly figure out who she really works for. She knows that the members of Liber8 are trying to return to their own time and she has every intention of traveling along with them and reuniting with her son. Their first attempt fails but when Liber8 kidnap a university physicist, Kiera knows exactly where to find them. Meanwhile, one member of the terrorist group has decided to stay and not return to his own time.—garykmcd
- Carlos's suspicious boss, inspector Dillon, got confirmation Kiera stole Portland detective Linda Williams's identity and orders Fonnegra to bring her to jail, handcuffed, but future technology enables her to escape. Although Matthew Kellog pleads the escaped Liber8 terrorists should stay in their past, the gang decides to attempt returning by taking over a super-collider. While Alec Sadler brilliantly coaches Kiera, Carlos's IT friend helps him track down the fugitives, hoping he can redeem himself. The showdown on campus is not what anybody expected, nor the welcome back in the precinct.—KGF Vissers
