The fate of the Ark of the Covenant has long fascinated people since it disappeared from history thousands of years ago. The container which housed the stone tablets containing the ten commandments has long intrigued scholars, historians and the general public with its mystery. Amateur archaeologist Mike Sanders sets out on a quest to find the object and his search finds him travelling to Jerusalem and Egypt. The lack of comprehensive analysis and study in this documentary unfortunately renders it second-rate and Sanders' overzealous enthusiasm makes him annoying. His attempts lead to him being rejected by the authorities when he requests to dig a place he believes to be of interest. So the documentary is much ado about nothing. Neither informative and convincing, a better host and a bigger budget would have made this much better. Pass this.
