Four coaches, four spots left, one hour: That's right, it's the final night of blind auditions for Season 6 of "The Voice." Which four artists were lucky enough to land Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira's final team spots on Tuesday (March 11)? Let's get to it.
First up is Joe Trombino, a former dance student who turned to music. Naturally, that means he's going to fall prey to that problems that always plagues dancers on this show: Too much dancing. You're trying to get four people to turn around based on your voice. Do not do anything that can hinder that. For Joe, his moves caused him to fall behind the beat on Al Green's "Love and Happiness" and he failed to turn a chair. Sorry, Joe.
Next up to fight for one of those final spots is guitar player and CrossFit enthusiast Kaleigh Glanton, singing "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?...

Birthday shoutouts go to Landon Donovan (above), who is 32, Adrian Zmed is 60, Chaz Bono is 45, and the faboo Catherine O’Hara is 60. Sexy Holidays to you!
Fox has picked its Bruce Wayne for Gotham, and it’s … a little kid! Which makes perfect sense, of course. I don’t know why the hell I thought it would be a hot twenty-something.
I’m verklempt. I mean seriously having palpitations. I already posted the audio of “Barracuda” from tonight’s Glee, and here are Santana, Elliot, and Rachel doing Laura Branigan‘s classic “Gloria” (a song which may come in … very high … on my Top 100 Ladies of The 80′s List). The late Laura is my second all-time favorite singer, and I love when she gets recognition.

We've been entertained by tears, tiny trunks and tons of Tom Daley, but sadly it couldn't last. Splash! concludes its second series tonight (February 15) with an all-male final, and we at Digital Spy are going to savour every single minute we have left.
Diversity young 'un Perri Kiely is favourite to win, but Paralympian Richard Whitehead, Towie hunk Dan Osborne and Boyzone star Keith Duffy could certainly give him a run for his money.
Join us from 7.20pm for all the diving action and (fingers crossed) more wardrobe malfunctions in our live blog...
20:50Well, there you go. Splash! is over (*whisper it* possibly forever), and all that's left is the customary end of series leap into the pool. Although we wish Gabby wasn't so precious that she needed to stick on a swimming cap. Thanks for joining us, gang! Night night!

The Voice is already in its fourth week of blind auditions, and yet more talent was pouring out of our televisions tonight. Seven brand new acts made it into the coaches' teams tonight - you know, when Sir Tom wasn't namedropping all over the place (that story about Elvis was just plain odd) - but who did we like the best? As always, it's been a tough job to rank them all, but we've given it a go. Do you agree with our thoughts?
1. Rachael O'Connor

Alright, admittedly we fell for Rachael as soon as she revealed how terrible she is at sports - complete with footage of her fumbling and being all 'butterfingers'. This is a girl we can relate to. The new Doctor, Peter Capaldi, stepped on set today for his first full day of filming as production begins on series 8 of the hit BBC show. 10.2 million tuned-in on Christmas Day to get their first glimpse of Capaldi in one of TV’s most iconic roles in the festive special ‘The Time of the Doctor’, which saw Matt Smith hang-up his bow tie after 4 years in the role. Capaldi was revealed as the Doctor in a live BBC One show in August, after months of speculation about the next Doctor’s identity. Arriving on set in Cardiff to begin filming, Peter Capaldi said: "New job, first day, slightly nervous. Just like the Doctor, I'm emerging from the Tardis into a whole other world." Steven Moffat, Lead Writer and Executive Producer, added: "First the eyebrows! Then, at Christmas, the face! Coming soon, the whole Doctor. In the Cardiff studios, the Capaldi...

First, there was the legend of the Doctor. And then, there was the man that revived him.
Russell T Davies put a shiny new spin on one of Britain’s most hallowed institutions. Gone were the Time Lords, the cardboard-cutout creatures, and in swaggered Christopher Eccleston, fresh from war and donned an awful lot more sensibly than Tom Baker was, with his infinite scarf.
But when Davies left, his successor was a fans’ favourite, critically acclaimed for every one of his episodes thus far. Moffat brought a younger Doctor, bigger twists and a much more complicated story arc with him; gone were the days of David Tennant sprinting through the streets of London, replaced by Matt Smith bouncing from one space station to the next.
We are forever in Davies’s debt for him bringing back the show. Does that play a part in the criticism of Moffat though? We...

Matt Smith brings a deadly vacancy to Easton Ellis's antihero in a musical with sharp instincts and a hollow heart
American Psycho will be a big hit for Rupert Goold's new, rejuvenating Almeida. His production is tremendously accomplished, stylistically coherent, sprinkled with Goold glitter and fuelled by Goold attack. Matt Smith plays the central part of the psychopathic banker with a deadly vacancy. It would be extremely surprising if this murderous musical does not race off to the West End. But the evening left me coldly indifferent. I can't think when a show has so completely divided me between admiration and recoil.
In many ways this is a perfect staging of Bret Easton Ellis's slasher satire, which split critical opinion – "careful, important", "cheaply sensationalist" – when it was published in 1991. It is true to the book yet not too doggedly faithful, a genuine...

Reader Rolando tipped us off to this video posted on Youtube. It was posted October 29th and filmed in front of the campus gym of the University of Houston and shows the Olympic swimmer Tom Daley being asked to pose for a quick video shoutout to fans “Asha” and “Adam”. The obliging Daley has a water bottle in hand and behind him is a dapper guy in a black t-shirt that looks an awful lot like Dustin Lance Black. Daley was in Houston for training. Apparently Dlb decided to tag along.

Angelina Jolie plays “Her Excellency” in this first trailer for Disney’s Maleficent.
The look… the eyes… the attitude. Everything about the Oscar-winning actress is perfect for Disney’s most iconic and elegant villain.
The film is the untold story of Maleficent from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.”
A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal – an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone.
Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom – and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.

Judge Dredd: Trifecta
Script Droids: Al Ewing, Simon Spurrier, Rob Williams
Art Droids: Henry Flint, Simon Coleby, D’Isreali, Carl Critchlow
Editor: Matt Smith
Publisher: Rebellion Developments/2000Ad
One of the reasons comic books are so popular today, is because of the way writers and artists manage to manipulate the medium to work against its constraints. While many creators settle for basic A to B plot progression, many others, such a Jeff Lemire, Matt Kindt, and Greg Capullo make the pages work for them. Some have done this, by forcing the reader to twist the book around essentially reading upside down, or even adding tidbits of information within the margins of the pages. Yet when 2000Ad released its weekly progs last year (or ‘issues’ to us North Amerikers), something very interesting started happening.

You can see a gazillion episode pictures here (well, over twenty at least), and read our spoiler-free review here, but if all that's not enough, take a look at four preview clips below, including a personal introduction from Smith and Coleman...
First up, is the 'Next Time' clip we saw at the close of The Rings of Akhaten:

When we first heard about ABC's "Splash," we had our doubts -- watching D-list celebs hop into a pool doesn't seem nearly as entertaining as watching them cha-cha. (And even the entertainment value of that is dwindling.) Tuesday's series premiere of the celebrity diving competition show was surprisingly compelling, though. London Olympic U.S. gold medalist David Boudia and Australian Olympic athlete and USA Dive team director Steve Foley were very dynamic judges, and because the show doesn't air live, there was room to create drama with editing.
First of all, we loved to hate the jingles for each of the divers -- particularly "The Cosby Show" child star's Keshia Knight Pulliam, whose jingle made sure to mention that she wasn't little Rudy anymore. Her dive involved a handstand on the board, but the judges weren't particularly impressed by it. "You had as much balance as a one-legged man at a butt-kicking contest,...

The head coach of Steubenville High School’s football team, Reno Saccoccia, will be investigated for failing to report the heinous crime his two players were convicted of on Mar. 17, according to a new report.
With Ma’lik Richmond, 16, and Trent Mays, 17, convicted of the rape charges brought against them in Steubenville, Oh, State Attorney General Mike DeWine has announced that he intends to convene a grand jury to further investigate the case, including assessing whether their head coach, Reno Saccoccia, should face charges for failing to report the crime when he learned of it.
Of the grand jury, which will convene on April 15, Mike says, “We cannot put this to bed. We cannot bring finality to this without the convening of the grand jury.”
MailOnline reports that sixteen people refused to co-operate with investigators and the possible crimes that the grand jury can charge them with are failure to report a felony,...

We all know that the culture of police brutality, of guns in the homes of some of us, diminishes all of us. Yet we kept quiet
South Africans are tired of being at the forefront of the global media. We have been there a lot lately – for all the wrong reasons.First it was the Marikana massacre, when the police gunned down 34 striking mineworkers within minutes last August. The Economist put us on its cover for that, saying we are in "sad decline". Then it was Oscar Pistorius shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Time magazine has put us on the cover for that, bemoaning our violent culture.
And much was made of the news that the investigating officer in the case, Hilton Botha, is up on charges of shooting at a taxi with seven passengers on board. Not long before that was the gang rape and murder of 17-year-old Anene Booysen.

Find out which Olympians said ‘no’ to the mirror ball, and which former ‘Bachelorette’ is ‘angry’ she was overlooked!
The cast of the upcoming 16th season of Dancing with the Stars was finally revealed Feb. 26 — but according to a new report, it could have looked very different! Not only were Olympic gold medalists Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps asked to join the cast, but a source tells Us Weekly that former Bachelorette Emily Maynard tried “desperately” to throw her name into the hat as well. Clearly, not all went according to plan.
Emily Maynard Snubbed By ‘DWTS’
While ABC-owned Dancing with the Stars often recruits former Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants, none made the cut this year — though current Bachelor Sean Lowe is rumored to be a surprise addition — and one former Bachelorette is fuming over the snub!

I purposefully stayed off line so as to not have any awards spoiled for me tonight. Andy Samberg hosts. First things first, Andy Samberg's opening monologue is maybe a "D" at best but those Oscar Pistorius jokes are defiantly "F"...as is the segueway from a Michael Fassbender dick joke (in 2013 no less) to Quvenzhané Wallis. Errr. Inappropriate Segueway Inappropriate Segueway. But I love love love this faux trailer Bottlecap especially that "they're in f***ing everything" shout-out to two ubiquitous actors Ari Graynor and Chris Messina who can ubiquit all over me whenever they want.
Seriously, I ♥ them so much.
Public Service Announcement: Ari Graynor will soon be on TV weekly in the Cameron Diaz role in Bad Teacher and Chris Messina is available (all of him) in the romantic drama 28 Hotel Rooms which is out on DVD right now. I'll try to write something about that one soon.

The were each identified by 42 percent of the survey's respondents as being an inspiration.
Tied for third place were actress Dame Helen Mirren, and "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, who were both listed by 39 percent of the survey takers as inspirational. Coco has been giving us a peep show on her Twitter feed for years, so it made a lot of sense that the folks behind the Las Vegas burlesque show of the same name would want to partner up! Ice-t’s uber-voluptuous wife made her Peepshow debut last night at the Planet Hollywood Hotel, donning barely-there nude lingerie and wielding a huge pink feather boa. She looked right at home on the stage, but amazingly, Coco had her doubts about the whole undertaking. “I never even thought about it,” she told Vegas.com. “First of all, I don’t have the body.” We’re gonna stop you right there Mrs. T and respectfully disagree. Coco nervous about treading the boards of a topless Vegas stage review? That’s like Michael Phelps being scared to play Marco Polo in a kiddie pool!

End of Watch | Silver Linings Playbook | The House I Live In | Gambit | Cinema Komunisto | Starbuck | Nativity 2: Danger In The Manger! | First | Lawrence Of Arabia | Ninja Scroll
End of Watch (15)
(David Ayer, 2012, Us) Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, Anna Kendrick. 109 mins.
If there was anything left to do with buddy cop movies then this does it, adding a raw authenticity and almost Tarantino-esque banter to the proceedings. We're on patrol with an Lapd duo whose partnership verges on the homoerotic, and whose sense of duty knows no bounds – a big mistake when they come up against a Mexican cartel. It's exciting, fluent and heavy on the shaky-cam, but ultimately paints a simplistic world of heroic lawmen and caricatured bad guys.
Silver Linings Playbook (15)
(David O Russell, 2012, Us) Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro. 122 mins.
Against-type casting and unbalanced characters do much to disguise the conventional bones of this satisfying romantic drama.

Better on details than when it's trying to uplift us with sport/pop montages, this film of London's Olympic summer crams it all in
The official film of the 2012 London Olympics is a mixed bag, inevitably compromised by the task of having to condense two weeks of extraordinary activity into under two hours. If Leni Riefenstahl's Olympia was so 1936, First is very 2012, reducing specific events to filler within extended montages that seek to describe – usually in slow-motion, to the accompaniment of pseudo-inspirational pop – the next steps in what Cowell-speak dictates we call the "journeys" of its highlighted competitors. Director Caroline Rowland fares best whenever she forsakes vague uplift for detail: the look on swimmer Chad le Clos's face as he realises he has beaten his hero Michael Phelps, the awestruck Laura Trott's unlikely omnium victory. Such moments seem to crystallise whole days of spectacle and achievement, and offer a stirring reminder,...
