With the coming of television Victor McLaglen tried his hand in the new medium with this 10+ minute short subject which was an early infomercial for the Chevrolet.
McLaglen narrates and plays traffic cop O'Mara who as he says is known for a nasty tongue to anyone he thinks is about to get out of line. But one day he just smiles and waves at a motorist he thinks is about to give him lip.
Surprised by a random act of civility this man passes it on and so on and so on. Within a day everyone is more pleasant to each other, especially those folks over in the Chevrolet dealership. As if they're ever not nice to customers. But it's the folks at GM that are putting this out to sell their product even before Dinah Shore told America to see the USA in your Chevrolet once a week.
Victor McLaglen, an Irish cop. Nice, but hardly an original bit of casting.
