script needed tightening up..

One of the two films with this similar title from 2014. This one has blanche baker and elissa goldstein, directed by aj mattioli. All about lgbt life. In a coffee shop. Cussing. So many gay and bi jokes. And pay attention to server jamie. He wears some funny shirts! It's just okay. Too many cutaways, asides, and cartoons on the screen. They needed to spend more time on a smoother, flowing storyline, rather than all those special effects. It get's a bit frenetic, probably explaining the low rating on imdb as of today. But it's not as bad as the ratings show, even if it's only 100 ratings so far. It has the feel of a short film that got stretched out to a full length film. And the "director" filming in the coffee shop was hard to understand... they should have left that whole bit out. Just my thoughts. Not much of an ending... it just kind of... ends.

Such a light and fun movie- definitely going to watch this one more than once and I suggest you do as well!

To start off, I wasn't quite sure what to expect at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. I first saw this at the Atlantic City Film Festival (where it won numerous awards, I might add, and very much deserved each of them). The character dynamics are interesting, the incredibly rigid, irritating, and uptight Helen is portrayed impeccably (as are the rest of the various colorful characters- it was fun to recognize Eric Millegan from Bones!), and there's always just so much going on. The storytelling technique is excellent, interweaving the stories of different individuals, taking the viewer on a crazy ride right along with all of its characters.

I couldn't believe the club was a set. It was so well-made, I was 100% convinced it was an actual place. I was absolutely blown away upon finding out that it wasn't.

All in all, very enjoyable!
