James Hauser was originally supposed the play the part of Dr. Damrich, however, he had to back out. Kathy Zuhlke was originally cast as a Nurse character but at the last minute was asked to portray the doctor. She took on the role of Dr. Damrich and the nurse character was eliminated from the script. Kathy filmed all her scenes within 48 hours and provided one of the locations to film the hospital scenes. She also happens to be board certified in radiation therapy and medical dosimetry.
The Hiker crashing into the windshield in Part 1 was a complete accident. Being Rick T. Foster's car, he reacted in absolute shock but then stated to Ryan Farrell, "Just tell me you got that!" The damaged windshield cost $220 to replace and was the catalyst for the filmmakers to continue the story.
The original air date for Part I was June 17th, 2012, which was released on YouTube. This was the original (more gimmicky) episode before being reshot to fit with the more serious tone that the series became.
The Hiker is always smoking. Detective Grady is always chewing gum.
Season 2 took over 4 years to complete.
