First off, major kudos to anyone that can make a film on this low of a budget that is actually entertaining. I saw this film at a film festival out in Chicago recently and enjoyed it so much that I decided to make an IMDb profile just so I could leave a review! I got to hang out a bit with filmmaker Jason W. Schaver who co-wrote and plays Stevenson in the film. He's such a nice guy and is very humble. I hope this film leads to bigger and better things for him because he is just such a cool dude.
Onto the story, it's about a guy that gets left at the alter and his friends take him out to cheer him up. While out with him they notice his amazing ability to read women, which is actually nothing more than him just using his psychology degree. This is where Stevenson, (played by the hilarious Jason W. Schaver), comes up with an idea to make money teaching loser guys how to score with women.
For the most part, this film is fast paced and quite humorous. I could live without the love story though. The whole Justin and Nora thing just seems a bit forced and awkward. The lead actor and actress had no chemistry at all. But it's low budget so they probably didn't get to spend much time together rehearsing before filming. As a low budget filmmaker myself I understand that rehearsal time is limited.
Like I said above, I could have lived without the love story. But the stuff with just the wingmen is comedy gold and I highly recommend it. The guy that played Larry was hilarious. Actually all the wingmen had their moments. Such a great cast. Check this movie out if you get the opportunity!
