The last days of the communist regime in Romania hide a drama that hasn't been previously told to a national audience. The worst naval accident in Romanian history, in which over 200 people drowned in a couple of minutes, happened on September 10th 1989, claiming the lives of many inhabitants of the village of Grindu, on the right bank of the river Danube, downstream from the city of Galati.
